The Exorcist and The Omen gave me endless nightmares. Anything connected to religion really.

I thought The Exorcist was pretty scary too.
I watched that at quite a young age. -

Now and then I watch a horror flick but still haven't found what I'm looking for... the ultimate evil and especially scary flick.
some recommendations:
If you are just into splatter and gore, check out Koroshiya 1 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0296042/)
Funny Splatter movies are Braindead and Bad Taste (both by Peter Jackson (LOTR, KING KONG).
Prolly the most disturbing flick I have ever seen was Cannibal Holocaust. (Note: Only watch it if you can take it, seriously, no film for kids or youngsters)
"If ever a movie deserved the label "disturbing", it's "Cannibal Holocaust". It's controversial, but totally worth watching, if you can take some seriously sick images."

Exact same, I must've been 4/5 and my cousins were watching it in my room, I wouldn't stop crying. I'm sure there's a scene in it where Freddy tries to kill someone while their in the bath, so everytime I had to have a bath I started crying.
Except from that the only film that's left me freaked out was the original ring -

The remake of hills have eyes stirred me about inside, some of the scenes I thought were quite bad. Movies like The Hostel or any of the saws dont get to me, normaly the freaky movies as oposed to the really gorey ones.
