So if we sell Sammy who have we got upfront?
Hooper? Hasn't played an SPL match yet so unproven
Murphy? Same
And who else? No-one
Sammy is the fastest player at the club, the only person with an SPL scoring record behind him, the only person who players and managers of other teams talk about when considering who is the threat they worry about
He's got lots of flaws as a player but thats why he's at Celtic and nowhere else
If we sell him, I guarantee we will miss him and notice the difference
but I can see the sense in getting £1m for him if he's in the last yr of his contract
I respect why people want rid of him because we are all entitled to our opinion but for me, he's 'currently' are best option upfront
no harm in demanding better players for Celtic Football Club though

 

2009-2010 31 games plus 16 as sub 13 goals 2 assists
2008-2009 30 games plus 28 as sub 19 goals 4 assists
2007-2008 05 games plus 11 as sub 5 goals 0 assists

So 66 games plus 55 as sub and 37 goals plus 6 assists
Samaras has played in 121 games and scored just 37 goals which is 1 in 4 and only assisted in 6 goals so if he was playing out wide what was he doing. He says he wants to be our main striker but doesnt play in the box. A main celtic striker should at least hit 25 plus a season.

Been waiting 2 and a half seasons for the big man to get his head down and have a decent run of form, it hasn't happened & doubt it ever will despite the occasional great game. Get him selt and Stokes & one other (hopefully schechter) in

It's a sad indicament of our situation over the last couple of years, that this * has featured so regularly for us. Hopeless, utterly hopeless. Get right to * ASAP.

 

I dont think hes that bad hes frustrating but he should never play up front. He should only play aslong as there are two other strikers in the team.

 

So where do we play him then? Canny see lenny playing 3 up front as theres to many midfielders to keep happy.

I see Aliadière is a free agent sell samaras give him a 1 year contract and tell him to prove himself just like O'Neil would do.

mcginn, forrest and cha are definately faster, without doubt, i've also heard izaguirre is fast and i would say juarez is faster too

i only want samaras to go if we have a good replacement lined up, and altho i've critisezed him, i dont think we should sell him without a suitable replacement, i really dont thnk he'll leave anyway

 

cant see this being a problem we have had plenty of time to line up his replacement
