He's a nice big guy but it's not gonna happen for him here, a move would be good for him, fresh start.

Strachan can stick his £1.5M where the sun don't shine :38: Sammy is way too good a player to let go for such a measly sum. Sammy offers us pace and trickery which we will find hard to replace at such a sum.

    Stick.

True he also offers us a 6f+ *, a player who is scared to get his hair dirty a player who trips over the ball and skins himself several times a game. We should get 10m for the laugh he gives us all

I'd take that offer no problem. We need to sell all the deadwood we have at the club. At the moment I'd say we need to get rid of McManus, Samaras, Mizuno, Loovens and Zheng.

A club like us trying to compete in 4 different competitions a season needs good compition upfront, meaning 4 strikers who can start. Sammy is definetly worth keeping as a back-up to the main two as he would give us something different off the bench and also IMO would work really well as the lone striker away in europe. I dot think you could buy a striker as good as him for £1.5m. £2.5m and I would sell

£1.5 million is no-where near enough considering we got £3.5 million off them for Skippy.

Boyd scored more than Skippy, doesn't mean he is better.

It's hard to say, different types of players. If the chips are down are you are looking for someone to create something then I'd prefer Samaras. But if you want a penalty box striker who will score goals but contibute little else then I'd prefer Skippy.

I would put both players in the same price range (not saying Samaras is worth £3.5 million, but neither is Skippy)

I'd say skippy performs better in the bigger games. Gets you more goals too.

In 2 and a half seasons, how many good games has Samaras played for us???
Not anywhere near enough. Far, far, far too inconsistant.
Sell him for £1.5m, add a bit and get Stokes.
