Footballers are greedy *, if he didnt care about it so much why do he leave his boyhood heroes, liverpool for real. No chance

for the same reason Maloney left us, and he has learned the error of his ways. You don't think Owen sits there and wonders what could have been if he hadn't left liverpool, he tried to get back and rafa didn't want him

Well thats his fault for being a greedy *.. Still no hope of him coming to celtic, no ifs or buts. He just simply will never come.He will go where he can get the most money.. celtic will not give him what he wants thus him not coming near a celtic strip, thank * too.

I'll hold out in hope, I think the financial thread hit it yesterday, we need players like that, they may be past their best but they could still do a good job for us. You think we are playing Naka now because he is our best player on the right or because people wants shirts in Japan with his name on it.
I'm ashamed to say I even bought one, on a Global market, he would be a massive financial boost.
Although I think he would bang them in, he is the best player at Newcastle and his contract is up this year, hello. I agree, we sligthly, he wouldnt come here for another few years at least, and by then he prob would be past his best

A said on this last season that if he started more games than skippy n jan he would score more goals than them!!! i still think he will score more than 31 goals this season!!! he is a fantastic player and he loves the club!!! He should be the first name on the team sheet every week imo!!! fair enough he has had some bad games but now he is turned in to 1 of my favourite players

This guy know's. Very astute buy from Gordon Strachan. Especially getting him in on loan beforehand to make sure he can handle the pressure's of Celtic and the SPL top marks all round:50:

You have got to love the diversity or our fans, almost every topic you can talk over there is a split, it shows you we are a fickle bunch. The biggest example for me is wee McGeady, he is by far one of our best players, in terms that he can change a game, yet last season there were fans who didnt want to see him play. We let our hearts rule our heads, and long shall that be the case, because its our hearts that make us the fans we are. We will always disagree, one of the things I don't like about these forums, is you are not allowed to have an opinion, this thread has been quite good but some people will not only accept someone has an opinion but have to throw the insults.

Yet we are all here for the same reason, our Love of one club.

Michael Owen would score goals for fun in the SPL.

I would have to agree with you, I don't think he is likely to come, but it's that kind of signing I dream about. He decides he's made his money, he can not get the big four and he wants to play footy and get some trophies.

We would bust the bank & blow millions to bring owen to glasgow & never see the return in my opinion. Out of favor with england, plays in a * team, lives on reputation alone, injury prone & not the player he once was. Another part time pension case! No thank you!

Ave seen one person saying Could be the next larsson :56::56: please dont mention the two in the same sentence. Larsson was world class in Europe and Spl, so far from what we have seen Samaras is quality for the Spl and not very good in Europe. Im not sold on him yet until he starts doing what he does to the likes of Hamilton and Kilmarnock to Villarreal and Man Utd :50:

if were all been honest here we know he has quality but is he consistant? yes just now hes hit a good bit of form but ill be suprised if it lasts. It remains to be seen if he can perform at the highest level, ill be down at manchester and id love nothing more for him too score down there.

Skippy scored 31 goals last year and scored against Ac Milan.

Samaras scores against your Kilmarnocks and Hamiltons and then misses a * sitter against Villarreal ? :97:

We'll see if Sammy can equal Skippys tally of last year.

The fat boy stuff is a load of nonsense as well, the way he sort of bumbles when he runs makes it look as if he's carrying weight....it wasn't a problem when he was scoring for fun last year.
