don't know what celtic you been watching mate, only time a see us playing a long ball is when we are a goal down and a few minutes to go, even Boruc has stoped punting it or kicking it, he prefers to roll it out to the left/right back and build from there,

with regards to samaras, just now he has a better scoring record than the King of Kings ;-) ( 10 in 10 , 100% record), how can you knock him

p.s No i am not suggesting he is as good as Henrik, just making a simple point

If your comparing him to Larsson you seriously need to get your eyes checked. Henrik is a better striker at 36.

I'll admit I was very skeptical at 3m. Thought he was a great signing under 2m when we got him.

 

Think he's a great player gives us an option upfront that skippy n jan don't,drops deep to link up the play,drifts left n right to drag defenders out of position n his scoring ratio speaks for itself,admittedly first touch lets him down from time to time but he's still a young raw talent,think we'll get a few years service out of him and sell him on for a healthy profit!

 

I think Samaras is a quality player he wis a million quid, hes 23 so you cant even say he wont eventually be good enough for top flight fitbaw, whoever said that is talking like hes in his prime just now or suhhin ffs lol. Hes bangin' them in and has the ability to run the full length of a park and score as seen twice against Kilmarnock. Once last year, once this year.

Giorgios Samaras is a Celtic hero in the making.

And there will never be another Henrik Larsson.

But maybe in a few years time when a new striker hits the block we'll be saying "He could be the next Samaras."

I agree that Sammy has been our best Striker this season so far. Skippy wil learn quickly that one swallow doen't make a summer if you catch my drift!
Don't be too hard on your fellow hoops, I know you should never look back but Henke would have buried that chance against our friends in Villareal, Sammy is a young guy with a bit to learn and he'll come good, but he's not the finished article.................
