I was surprised in particular by big Jan - i thought a big bucks move would interest him for the latter years of his career - i'm sure he's not going to be short financially, but by the sounds of things he could have stood to make significantly more elsewhere. Good on him.

I agree entirely with you mate - very promising indeed, as was Aiden and Boruc signing onto longer-term deals. That in itself was a statement of intent on our part.

 

I am a realist, and you have to balance what we had and what we want, he will do us a good turn I have no doubt and I will bet in a few years he will go south and we will bring in some money for him.

I would prefer to se him than Killen (sorry IRVY)

Have you watched Celtic this season. It has been very fast and very attractive play through the middle and down the wings. I haven't seen much route 1 football from our bhoys his season and the amount of goals we have scored from headers this season must be at a low.

Look at Samaras' goals the proof is there. I think you should begin eating your hat already mate.

I'm a big fan of sammy's. To be really honest i'd start sammy right now in front of voh & mcdonald just because goals win games. I'm more confident we'll go 1 or 2 up in the first half of a game wi sammy & maloney. When they started together some of the link up play was * awesome & they're not scared to have a pop outside the box! U pick the * best 11 men to win that game, and all that pecking order * annoys me, if your games hot your in the * team & bollocks if it * people off!!

exactly, well said. It gets preety annoying when people always say he will be the next dada. They are their own player, looking to make a name for themselves. Not be a second to another guy.

 

He is good player. And he really does not need this pressure you are putting on him

 

Scoring goals obviously isnt enough for some people. Seriously, what more do you want from him? You say he doesnt fit into out structure... why is he scoring then?

i dont hate him, i think he can be a very good footballer... at times.

 

I was one of the minority that would have signed him for the 3m quoted in the summer.Samaras is one of that rare breed that has pace as well as physical and aerial power.Usually it's one of the other for players.He's two footed,pacy,good in the air,skillful and has a good eye for a pass.No,he's not perfect but he wouldn't be playing for Celtic if he was.An absolute steal at 1.2m.
