Maybe Ronnie only said he wouldn't rule out a new contract for Sammy incase we didn't get in another winger, go to Sammy as a last resort type thing. We have tonev now, derk and Forrest is for for the time being who when for is possibly our biggest threat! So I don't think it will happen, think we'd be better off spending a couple mil on another winger and a striker

I've got a feeling lawell got rid of him to make way for another high earner. They always talk about the wage is more important than the fee. Maybe we are about to bring in a 25k a week striker? And samaras was deemed too expensive for his contribution

 

Almost certainly not I would say. Our board are trying to lower the wage bill again for some ridiculous reason, I'd say they're waiting to see if Sammy will take another pay cut. Being a die hard Celtic fan I reckon he will end up accepting it, maybe with big bonuses depending on European appearances and goals.

 

If Sammy is a 4-5 million player, then why is no one snapping him up for free!!!??? It would be a great deal for some club.
