:50: Really don't understand anyone who would boo their own players.
Frustration and a few for * sakes in a rant a game fine and understandable but to boo your own team or players... SHOCKING!

He can be as loyal as he wants, what we want from him is consistency not loyalty.

If he plays like he does in spurts over 90 minutes he's a guaranteed starter, but he never does.

I could make a YouTube video with all of his missed sitters, lack of effort at times, lazy play, misplaced passes, frustrating play etc if you fancy it ? It would last a * of a lot longer than 1:03, that's for sure.....

aye you probably could seeing as Samaras has been a prominent figure for numerous sides e.g. Celic, Heerenveen, Greece. The same can't be said for the likes of Hooper and Stokes because they've never been relevent. Scunthorpe, Hibs, Falkirk..? Nobody cares.

:50: Spot on, mate. Because we got one of the best footballers Scotland's ever seen on the cheap, we hold every signing to that standard, which really isn't fair or realistic. King Henrik was a once in a lifetime deal for a once in a lifetime player.

I think for what we paid we've gotten our money's worth out of Sammy. People complain about his goal record (which is good by the way, if you compare the stats) but no one give him credit for linking up play and providing service to others. I mentioned it in another thread. If Maloney was in scoring form, Sammy would already have like five assists this year. Also, the service he receives (as well as the other strikers we've had for a few years) has been shameful. When nothing comes into the box, how do you expect a guy to stay there and wait. I think Sammy's inconsistency has been evidence of an inconsistent side.

I don't think he's the best player in the world, but definitely useful. I love his heart and his passion for the Hoops. Accusations of laziness are silly, as he has one of the best work rates on the club: always closing down the central defense and keeper, and always running. Here's to hoping this is a better season for him. Hail, hail!

I think he tries. He just lacks a footballing brain. I used to love the guy. The was a point that he was even the background image on my desktop computer

Anyway I really hope he "gets with it" more and starts scoring some more * GOALS

Apart from a few purple patches with us, he's never been a prominent figure and never will be. Couldn't give a * about Greece or Heerenveen.

Hooper and Stokes score goals on a regular basis, Samantha does not. That's all I care about.

Get real, Samaras is a player. If Berbatov scored a goal like the one Sammy got against Utrecht it'd be hailed as World Class. Few Strikers could control a ball like that. Players like Samaras are what separates us from the rest of the dross in the SPL. Guys like Stokes, Hooper, Brown are just SPL class.

Man Hoop and Stokes still have to prove themselves here. They may have been great goal scorers in the past with other clubs, but Hoop has only netted one for us in a friendly match, and Stokes hasn't even made his debut yet....

I think we should let them men play in the hoops before we start comparing them to our seasoned players! I really hope they'll be better Celts than Sammy, but I dunno yet!

I never said that he doesn't have his moments of class but he doesn't do it on a consistent basis. Samantha hasn't even shone on a regular basis in the SPL ffs, so what the * does that say about him ?!?

Think you're the one that needs to "get real".

I am well aware of that (he scored against Braga as well btw) but I would put my mortgage on them getting more goals than the Greek Tragedy.

he seems loyal.( maybe that's why the birds love him.. or maybe cos he's greek) which is good, and rare in football today. but I just hope he's good enough for us one day.
