    Just going with what i see m8, might be different to your view but fair enough against barca at that attempt i just think more often than not we lose the ball after a flick on or if its played into his feet

    I reckon he may have it in his mind to start with Jan and Samaras against Barca purely for the fact if we can get a goal with that front pairing you know bringing on McDonald is going to give you endless running up front and that nack of scoring from nothing. Then again he may just start tried and tested and bring on Samaras later on as he's shown he can score given little pitch time at the end of a match.

    Cant believe there is talk of dropping Skippy for Samaras. The one gamehe started he was worse than 10 Gary Caldwell's could play against Barcelona!!!

    He looks as if he is out to play for himself, he doesnt offer enough for the team. He looks too lax on the ball with no real urgency to get on it when he doesnt have it. Fair enuf he scored 3 goals. One was when we were 4-1 up thanks to the efforts of our main and top scorer (Skippy by the way). Good header against ICT and Hibs, but he aint done it for me to drop oyr top goalscorer.

    I sure I am not alone in talkin to huns and metioning how I cant believe that Boyd aint playing? How can a team drop their top goalscorer? If your striker scores a goal a game, aint that enuf? In my book yes. But Skippy offers much more than that. He can also be having an off day but still produce. He runs the channels and is involved in build play. He is our one striker that offers fight up front.

    i think we will have to start a new group for protecting Skippys starting slot .... PODS Society

    Prevention of Dropping Skippy Society.

    Not to be confused with PRODS, they are just ugly * who should defo not be protected.....


    Now get a life you Skippy doubters, what else would you like him to do to keep his slot?

    Drop Mcdonald,sometimes i think there are closet huns on this site.The wee man has been a revalation this season and will be in seasons to come.Imho he will fight it out with aiden for player of the year right now he is one of a very limited elite band who the team rely on for success week in week out others being boruc and Mcgeady.

    I'm his biggest fan, i love him but that's not to say it isn't right to use him in the correct way that Strachan sees fit to win a game of football.

    Barca had Etoo, their most consistent striker sitting on the Parkhead bench did the Barca fans kick up a fuss or him for that matter? It may be that Skippy starts and thats brilliant as hes our best chance of a goal imo but if they start with Samaras and Jan manage to get a goal and hold onto it, the first guy i want to see getting brought on is our top scorer and our hardest working front man!

    I understand your point mate but Eto was injured at the african nations cup and was not fully fit.Put it this way would you have dropped henrik to play big john and chris sutton because i certainly wouldnt have,fine players as they were. Our main goal threat is skippy and he must start every game hail hail.

    Alternative Pish ? - Miller was great, scored a few important goals, played in SPL winners team and last 16 CL - cost us * all and we made 2.5 M profit-

    I would drop skippy for this match ONLY due to what ive seen of barca defence agaisnt jvoh in the 1st leg and how much his height trouble if we play with 2 upfront, if only 1 i would pick skippy. After the match straight back into the side, he is the best strikr at the club as i think this would be the best tactics for goals
