Good stuff and long may it continue.. Should have him feeling on cloud 9 but maybe in need of a rest.. If nothing else it keeps his value up..

I was just thinking the same myself when I was watching the highlights of Australia's world cup qualifier today that it might be a good idea to start Samaras Sunday against the sheep and rest McDonald.

It's a bit like Pearson was though, it dont matter how much energy you have, how many yards you cover or how good your runs are, its all academic if your pish when you get there!

21 goals in the first half of the season is unbelievable. he will probably go on to score 35 goals, as a debut season at celtic that is an absolute dream. wen skippy first signed i thought here we go another sideward step, he mite score ten goals from the bench against the * teams. he has been brilliant, a masterful finisher, poacher, with great awareness and a nack of being itrpatrt. i just think this was strachans finest hour. he is only 24 i think, with 8 top years left in him dont be suprised to see him hit the 200 mark.

I'd like Stracan to play a 3-5-2 at home.

Believe me i know fairly acutely how Celtic started out so i'll say it again. We are not a charity we are a plc business ran to satisfy a board of directors and a plethora of shareholders.

We're not in the business of turning back 3 million quid for a determined but ultimately not good enough footballer.

Thanks for info! Fancied a girl once of that name.

BTW Samaras started for Greece vs Finland in a Cyprus mini Tourni. He played well and was subbed mid second. could have scored but a * player called Kafes interfered with the pass before it reached samaras and it ended up missing him.

I can name 17 reasons to include McDonald in the starting line up and not a single one to drop him.

When I said header I meant balls that are pumped up to him during a game that he's expected to win it and flick it on.I just think he lacks that eye of the tiger aggression that all good target-mean have.
Anyway I never said he was crap in the air full stop.I said he was crap for his size. There's a difference.

Skippy has the potential to be a phenomenal goal scorer for the club. I hate to say it but I would prefer Samaras over JVOH. Big Jan neither displays the speed or the workrate to produce a lot of goals and dare I say it reminds me of Boyd a bit in that he hangs around a lot of the time waiting for others to do all the work for him. IMO his physical presence and the odd goal are really all he seems to offer. Maybe he's better than that but I just can't see it at the moment.
