someone referred to kenny miller as the master of something? didn't miller score nine goals with us last year?
hasn't Jan scored 10+ (?) in the first half of this season with time off?

No. Skippy is proven goal scorer and should not and will not be benched

Samaras and McDonald. At last a turn of pace up front instead of long balls. You'll see a better Scott Brown linking up with Samaras as well.

I have a problem with some Celtic fans when they have it in for certain players , especially guys who contribute a * of a lot to the team..
Miller was our workhorse in the SPL and in Europe last year.. He was the one getting down to the byeline or cutting inside and setting up goals for others.. Maybe if the club hadn't forced him to leave (yes , exactly the same thing that we have ridiculed the huns for doing to Hutton) then we'd not be 4 points behind the huns at this time of the season , and Scott Brown wouldn't be jaded after covering every inch of the pitch in every game , and Scott Mcdonald wouldn't be so frustrated at having to do the work of 2 men in many games where he's been stuck with JVOH..
Kenny came off the bench to score twice against Aberdeen earlier in the season when it seemed we were heading for defeat.. Strachan knew he was vital to the team and didn't want him to leave..

It's not always just about goals with strikers.. It's what a player can offer to the team..

McDonald has to stay in the team. he gives you all the work that Miller ever did but has an end product as well. He's actually BETTER in the air than JVOH who is the supposed target man. While big Jan has a decent return this year, he's still not doing it in the big games (Old Trafford apart), so if anyone goes, it has to be him, purely on merit between the 2 front guys.

Sorry thats absolutely not true.He wasn't forced out.Strachan said he could have stayed if he wanted. And when he did leave he went running to the papers ..3 million was great business and if he had have been a success and scored regularly he wouldn't have been sold..
Like a plastic bag in the wind the guy was.

i dont see either of skippy or jan being dropped immedietly, i think diff pairings might be tested in the latter stages of games

but with them scoring so many goals between them it might be a bit daft and would also be unlike wgs to do so.

i think i personally will make judgement on the stikers in a few weeks after seeing them perform against better opposition, cos killie were utter rubbish.

You wouldn't happen to be one of the guys Im talking about , Hating Kenny because he played for the huns previously ???

He went to the papers to say he wasn't given an option to stay , that he had no desire to leave , was gutted to be sold to Derby and had been forced out by the club.. He had a face like thunder when he was shipped out of the club..
I saw Strachans interview when he sheepishly said he asked Kenny if he wanted to stay or wanted to leave and that it was up to the player.. I also saw Strachan say in an interview it was the clubs overall decision on players being brought in and sold.. He was forced out for sure..

We only got 2.3m for Kenny Miller.

O for * sake i could nae care less who he played for.Can ye not just think a player is pish these days without someone accusing you of having some kind of bigotted agenda.Jesus wept.Well if ye had seen the interview then ye would have heard Strachan and Lawwell say he could have stayed if he wanted but he chose to go.Poor Kenny crying to the papers about the club that put a million quid in his bank account
He was not consistent did not score enough goals and if he did his talking on the pitch he would still have been a Celtic player...And we did try and ship Bobo out he refused to go..Not exactly unheard of..

McDonald does a fair bit of the water carrying for the team and still manages to find the net.

having it in for miller? nah he worked hard enough just needed an end product after covering 40 yards of pitch. Just cause Jan's style, and job is not to cover the same 40 yards but rather put the ball in the net any way he can as well as take up defenders and open up space for others

I'd agree but then again i'd have no problem with it whatsoever, we're a business not a charity. He wasn't good enough to be a striker at Celtic and we brought in more than he was worth in a transfer fee by far. Best piece of business we've done in years.

Miller was pish. End of story. 9 goals in a season for a Celtic striker tells its own story. He's continued in the same vein at Derby with just 5 so far this season. As I've said before, 3million for him?, that's almost daylight robbery.

And you don't drop the top scorer at the club and in the country overall. That is * barmy.

    Would defo not drop mcdonald.
A striker jobs is to score goals and he scores goals
if some1 does their job well you reward them
also JVOH scored for holland tonight
