It wasnt snide at all though, I'm very open and clear with the fact that I don't really rate Hayes. We've had countless players not good enough over the years and I think he's another. It's hardly the big deal you want to make it seem because you do rate him. Most fans don't. It's brought up in reference to Christie because Christie going out on loan was part of the deal that brought Hayes in.

It's very simple. Even you can understand that <<that's snide btw.

I just want him to be given a fair crack at it and won't jump on his back because his career hasn't started well..

That's called not being a *...<< I fear it may be too late for you btw..

Would rather have him back than Hayes if I'm honest.
Christie looks a cut above the Aberdeen team whereas Hayes looks like an Aberdeen player.

A lot easier doing it for Aberdeen than us tho, teams open up a lot more v them, not to mention everything that goes with being a Celtic player.. pressure, expectation and competition for places..

Understand that but just feel that Christie has more to offer our squad that Hayes especially if we get another winger in. Hayes hasn't looked comfortable imo but I hope he comes good.
However I feel that Christie will come back a better player after being the main man for the 2 best team in the country so it's a catch 22 situation.

He doesn't have more to offer if he doesn't play though..

The loan move is ideal and Hayes is a step up from GMS and may prove his worth as the long season drags on. Hayes just needs a wee goal to settle him..

Hopefully the transfer deal will work out for both and ultimately us in the longterm.. Hayes needs our support and to hear so many write him off so soon doesn't do anyone any good..

Aye Hayes is a step up from GMS but I think he is feeling the weight of the jersey and probably trying too hard.
I would always cheer players on and give them my support while at celtic park however I still have doubts about Hayes' quality.

Had a great game today for Aberdeen according to many accounts. In the highlights I've seen of him this season I've been really impressed with the way he carries the ball in the final third. Looks alot stronger and more comfortable going forward.

I definitely think he's got a future here considering he's made this much progress while at the second best team in the country. Could see him being a replacement for Armstrong should he leave next summer.

Yeah he has been great for Aberdeen anytime I have seen them this season. I always felt he had a lot of quality, just felt he needed more opportunities here. Hoping he gets that next season.

Can he play in that more central/deeper role?
I've always seen him as a Rogic/No10 position. Where Rogic when he slots back deeper to play alongside Brown, he isn't that good.
Same for Armstrong when we try to push him forward in to the Rogic position, he isn't quite as effective.

Armstrong is more Box to Box, with the emphasis on the attack. Isn't Christie more just in the attack side of it all?

Would love to be told he is stronger and more commanding on the ball and actually could fill that role, because simply, if we sell Armstrong within the next 10 month, Christie is a brilliant idea to take over, with Ntcham as the staple anyway.

He looks stronger and quicker now than he did 12 months ago.

He's got very good ability on the ball and an eye for goal. Have him battle it out with Rogic next season.

He was good the other night for Aberdeen in the game they got pumped 3-0, was the only Aberdeen player who looked up for it and got tore in, never seen the game today.

I would like to see him back in the squad next season, he has good quality on the ball and as people have said he not looks a yard quicker and a bit stronger than he was before when he was a skinny * with not much pace.

Seen him a few times this season- so much natural flair and talent. I have seen him play on the right in a Roberts esque style cutting inside on his left. I really rate him and maybe he will replace Paddy longer term. I think he has the ability to be a 1st teamer.

His main issue was/is he’s a number 10, he isn’t able to play (well) on the wing.

It’s just a case of biding his time and taking his chance if it comes. He is only 22 but you’d think he only has 1 last crack at it.
