I understand the arguments about trial by media and innocent until proven guilty but does anyone seriously believe that this story would have been broadcast if the journalists and their lawyers weren’t sure of their facts?
Investigative journalists seem better at exposing this type of behaviour than the police do and they’ve been working on this for years by all accounts.
I’ll be amazed if Brand didn’t do exactly what he’s been accused of here.

 

Its certainly damning mate but I still remember a mate of mine who sold a bit of weed to his mates, make the front page of NoTW as a drug kingpin.

I don’t trust the media or journalists in the slightest.

There’s just far too much about this that makes sense. He is innocent for now of course, but it doesn’t look good. I don’t believe this idea that you can’t form an opinion yourself.

 

You're on to something there, some of these accusations came up in late 2019 and early 2020, it was after that he got into conspiracy theories and ranting against the MSM, I see the same team that defended him that time have dropped him now so he probably knew only the tip of the Iceberg had been revealed at the time

Fair enough, I’m sure there are plenty of cases where the media make things up or sensationalise. Im obviously not saying you should believe everything you read in the papers.
In a case as high profile as this though I really think the claims would have been checked a hundred times over before publication.
It’s all about money for them and they could lose a fortune if Brand is able to prove these claims are false. I really doubt he will though.

 

I just don't know what to believe any more. The internet was meant to be a force for good yet it's been hijacked by those on all sides to push their sinister agendas.

I'm sure it was @Tim-Time 1888 who posted the video from the guy who invented the WWW and gave it away for free, who predicted this *.

He might not be able to claim them as false but that's not what he has to do right? The victims need to be able to prove it's true.

Will either side get the outcome they desire? Somehow I doubt it.

 

No idea how this will end up but it’s definitely going to be a rough spell for Brand. Bet he wishes he had a billionaire mummy who could pay for it all to disappear.

 

Not exactly the same but im sure the bbc * up with Cliff richard,dont know all the facts but if i remember correctly the beeb were there when police raided his gaff in relation to some thing dodgy he was supposed to be involved with anyway his name was tarnished and turns out he was innocent,

Hear what your saying ....not the greatest example but the point is the case against him collapsed and he sued bbc and the police and got himself a few quid in damages.

 

I haven't seen or heard any of the evidence, I tend to go with my gut instinct on these things instead. Much more reliable.

If you took potential victims to court and sued them you would look like *. They remained anonymous so he couldn't take them to court anyway.

I do imagine that C4 will have covered themselves. Brand is a very wealthy man, worth 16m. Your mate was treated like * by a dirt rag because he was a low end weed dealer who couldn't take them on.
