Google tells me they are the same age. I honestly didn't think they both was getting to that age. Really need them both to step it up now, or move them on for both parties concerned.

Ross County manager Stuart Kettlewell hopes to conclude a deal early this week to sign goalkeeper Ross Doohan on loan from Celtic.

The 22-year-old was allowed to play for County as a trialist on Sunday, conceding two goals to his parent club.

Now Kettlewell is looking to take the Scotland Under-21 international to Dingwall for the season ahead.

"I hope we can maybe get something done probably Tuesday and get him in for the start of the season," Kettlewell said.

Doohan has spent the past two seasons on loan at Scottish Championship side Ayr United.

Kettlewell expects the goalkeeper to be on the bench for Celtic in Monday's friendly with Hibernian before he is allowed to join his squad.

"We know him well as a goalkeeper," Kettlewell told BBC Scotland. "We've seen what he's done out on loan at Ayr.

"Ross has been top of the list for us for a period of time. It's kind of been pending for three/four weeks, but it looks like it's going to get done."

Celtic are seeking an experienced goalkeeper of their own with Fraser Forster having ended his loan from Southampton and Craig Gordon having moved to Hearts.

"We knew we just had to get to the stage where Celtic are obviously looking to spend a bit of money and bring somebody else in and that would trigger us getting Ross," Kettlewell added.

"We feel he'll be a really good addition to the group and we're really looking forward to getting him in

He did well today. I rate him more highly than Hazard, but it makes sense to get him out on loan and the move should do him the world of good.

Talk a few weeks ago was we weren't letting him go until we had a new keeper. If deal is going ahead on Tuesday does this mean we can start being a bit optimistic about some signing news?

Did well stopping a few good shots, loan will help, does seem the Ross county manager has been told tues and we can’t have Bitton in goal if Bain gets injured

Ross County have been given the green light to compete the season-long signing of Ross Doohan.

Celtic have given the Scotland Under-21 keeper permission to complete his loan move to the Global Energy Stadium.

Hoops boss Neil Lennon sanctioned the move after he brought in Vasilis Barkas from AEK Athens yesterday.

Record Sport broke the story that Doohan was the keeper Staggies boss Stuart Kettlewell had wanted to sign on July 2.

Doohan then played against Celtic in a closed door game on Sunday.

The 22-year-old keeper is now set to make his debut in County’s Premiership opener on Monday evening against Motherwell.

Doohan is expected to travel north today and train with his new team-mates for the first time tomorrow.

Good for the lad, has to step it up now and show he can take over from Bain as backup next season.
Same goes for Hazard who I expect to be the 3rd choice keeper at the club.

Both should be setting sights on taking over from Barkas in 3 years when he moves on for £35million.

Goalkeeper Ross Doohan has become the latest addition to Stuart Kettlewell's squad ahead of season 2020/21 getting underway.

Ross, who joins on a season-long loan from Celtic, has today joined up with The Staggies squad just in time for the new campaign kicking off on Monday night at home to Motherwell. Doohan, has been with Celtic through his youth years before spending the last two campaigns on loan at Championship side Ayr United, making himself their first choice between the sticks.

Ross has also represented Scotland at all youth levels from Under 16 to Under 21. 22 year old Doohan had played as a trialist for The Staggies in their pre-season friendly against his parent club at Celtic Park last weekend.

Good move for him. We should look at getting more of our youths loaned out to other Premiership teams.

Should probably consider cancelling Doohan's loan with Ross County before the deadline tomorrow and send him somewhere else where he is going to play. Really no use to the player or to us to have him sitting on their bench after two seasons of playing regularly for Ayr.

Neither of them are good enough. Be better off punting them.

Both are 23. Doohan couldn’t get a game for Ross County and Hazard is behind Scott Bain in the pecking order.
