Not sure about that. A 16 year old Celtic fan who hears the republican songs, even if he is * clueless, is probably more educated than a 16 year old Sunderland fan.

I think the discussion whether the songs should be sang at games or not should be held after Celtic fans stop getting arrested for singing them. Because whether you agree with them being sung at games or not surely you don't think people should be arrested for it.

Just cause he hears them does not mean he understands them.

Football is all about politics. So I am guessing from that answer you only want to censor Irish Republican Politics at football.

Your second paragrpah is quite frankly ridiculous. Anybody with any knowledge of the Celtic support would know the singing of the Roll Of Honour at games far preceded the Green Brigade.

Choosing to spend your money on going to the football is political( and that is not just a modern thing) choosing whether to abide by the rules at the stadium or any rules is political.

There are plenty of clubs around the world that make overtly politcial statements at their games.

The bill is not about keeping Politics out of football it is about keeping Irish Republican Politics out of football.

Whit!!! How is spending my money watching football political?

Other clubs politics are of no interest to me.

What have Irish republican politics got to do with Scottish football? Im pretty sure the huns have songs banned too.

Leave politics out of this thread and respect others opinions who disagree with the general view of the majority.

We have a zero tolerance policy in place regards blatant trolling & hun accusations. Several members have been given bans due to ignoring staff instructions and others will join them if people won't follow site rules or take notice of stickied/ in thread warnings.

Well you could spend your money on something else. Therefore you are choosing to spend it on the football thus making a political decision.

I don't think any songs are banned which again to drag you back to the thread is the whole point.

No it highlights the hypocrisy that a song that would get you arrested if you sung it at a football ground is available on iTunes, in HMV or whatever and made it in to the Top 40 as it isn't illegal
