I think the point about only a minority of Celtic fans been politically aware is surely the point of the campaign.While the press will continue to say it is only a small minority etc the fact that Celtic fans have managed to get it into the charts will mean that it is not so easy to just write it off. Of course the people that hate Celtic or hate Irish Republicans are not going to change their views because of this.

I genuinely don't see how it will harm Celtic FC's reputation. The club have not supported this so the only people that can criticise them are bigots like Gregory Campbell but I have enough faith in my fellow human beings that people will see those comments for what they are. Therefore all that is going to happen is people will see that alot of Celtic fans are Irish Republicans.Which is true and anybody that knows anything about Celtic ( whether they agree with these sentiments or not) will not be surprised by this.

 

Can only find on BBC uk chart at no 24 but that only updated to the 12th Feb. not seeing it on any other chart?

Yes but it wont change the minds of People who are not Republican Celtic fans and I dont see how getting the ROH into the charts is going to change that..

That's not what it is about though. It is about highlighting the fact that whether you agree with them or not people should not be arrested for singing songs that are in no way Sectarian or Racist. I would hope that most fair minded individuals would support that.
