As far as most of us are concerned the IRA doesn't exist anymore,it's a historical organisation and it simply should not be a crime to sing about them or others who fought and gave their lives for freedom.

People die in war, that's usually the price of occupying someone else's country,if you don't like it thats fine but you won't be allowed to revise and deny our past, the support isn't going to change to suit you and your pathetic agenda.

Gees oh. You are all over the place here.

Where have I said that in this thread ? Please tell me ?

I suggest we continue this in the H and P section as apart from one decent post you have made saying you think FAC could have picked a different song you have posted absolutley nothing that is relevant to this thread.

I believe the Orange order were invited down to march though. Any British royal visits to your county?

    I apologize you didn't..

If the point of all this publicity is to increase interest in the recording then all well and good, it might lead to more sales and a higher chart position, but it'll do heehaw to help convince our fellow Scots of the unjust nature of the Bill, nor prompt them to go on to make their feelings known to their MSP. If anything, it's likely to add fuel to the growing anti-Celtic sentiment in Scottish football and wider society.

I'm sure we can all agree that politically aware Celtic supporters are a small minority among Scotland's electorate. That being the case, it shouldn't be so hard then to deduce most of our fellow voters are like to see this as nothing more than Celtic supporters complaining about not being allowed to sing IRA songs. They neither know nor care that ROH does not celebrate the IRA, and nothing - not least of all a download of the song - is going to change that.

In a more ideal world - one with a fairer press and with a bigger picture that wasn't so sensitive to the majority of our contemporaries - RoH would have made perfect sense as choice for the song, but we are not living in those conditions. I'm afraid this will be another failed attempt at playing politics.

In short.....A daft idea that will just generate more bad press and more hassle for everyone connected to the club.

Some people seem desperate for this to receive negative attention.
