Tottenham are poison, and yet Postecoglou went there, ignoring the CL on offer, and good working conditions. Rodgers has had conflicts with our board before.

Spurs are an established prem team with a savage stadium and decent squad and budget. Leeds are in the championship and are highly unlikely not to even get promoted next season. Big difference

Spurs would have finished higher than 8th if they had a decent squad. Their whole back line is bad, bar maaybe Davies. I honestly don't know how bad Leeds' squad is, but Tottenham are not an easy job, and their own fans say it's a poisoned chalice.

Apparently poisoned chalices aren't an issue as long as the club has some money.

Leeds are in the Championship, Spurs are a club that typically finishes top 6 in the BPL.

    There's a massive difference ffs

Back to 4-2-3-1 most likely and no inverted full backs :55:

For those reasons I think we'll see some changes in who thrives and who struggles. Taylor is never a lb who bombs up and down the wing on the outside. I could see Bernabei being used well tbh. He won't have to take the ball in those areas he clearly hates. Regardless I think we'll need a new LB.

Maeda will struggle in Rodgers system, I feel. While Abada will kick on. I could see Oh really suiting Rodgers too, has a bit of the Dembele about him. Of the current squad I'd guess the starting XI would be:

    Hart (new GK)
    Johnston CCV Starfelt Bernabei
    McGregor Hatate
    Abada O'Riley Jota
Kyogo (though if he leaves Oh will thrive)

Really not looking forward to us going back to the two sitter/bombing overlapping full backs system. I hope it's evolved. Did we not hold the record for most 0-0s at Parkhead in a season in Rodgers' second season? Might be wrong, anyway i think that system's a bit outdated now and not offensive enough for the SPFL.

Thing I'm going to miss most from how we'll likely set up is the tempo. Cant see us continuing with the quick free kicks/goal kicks etc. Hope we at least stay aggressive in our press.

Rangers had started to stop us playing with the one sitting , they stopped the ball going to mcgregor and the last few derbies where tough watches , playing the two there might be better for us

I think Taylor will suffer the most. Just not built to be a traditional full back for a team like Celtic.

Would be interested to see what he could do with Rocco Vata.

One of the plus points of him is his history of developing players.

He's typically played 433 at Leicester and the good news to many on here is he's played with a more physical sitter so chance for Iwata or he may finally bring in the Wanyama type folk have been wanting for last 10 years (just as long as he's not another kouassi).

He likes his full backs to get forward so think Taylor mite struggle so potentially a new left back. Bernabei never gonna be good enough due to his awful distribution and even worse positional sense and will likely be punted.

Jota will 100% be back on his favoured left side and can see abada kicking on too.

He usually played with 2 sitting in midfield, on as defensive and other box to box. Reckon we could see Iwata sitting with McGregor next him as box to box. Then Hatate ahead as the no.10.

Taylor is the worry, he is a fantastic inverted full back but isn’t a great attacking full back which is what Rodgers likes.

Agree with the Taylor comments. He's never a bombing on fullback under him. No chance..

Cannae believe people think simultaneously that Taylor won’t play but Abada will be a superstar.

GT is a left back and Abada is a winger, a supposedly rapid one at that. I guarantee GT has beat more men to the byline in a Celtic strip. In fact I guarantee it’s no even close.

Who did he develop last time he was here? Revived Brown I guess? Roberts?

Taylor/Maeda will be the ones who I could see struggling more this season. Both good players, and Taylor was excellent last year, but I think Taylor was perfect for Ange's system, not so sure about Rodgers.

Maeda is a good player, but I just don't see him getting the same game-time under Rodgers, could see him leave in the January window.

Tierney, Christie, Mcgregor, Forrest, Armstrong. Brought on Dembele and Edouard.

I’ve seen some * in my time but Bernebei over Taylor tops the lot
