    No thanks, this is not the sort of player we should be signing. He gladly took his £65,000 a week to fulfill his 'childhood dream' of playing for us last year, why would he come back for less than half that? He's a mercenary, and mercenarys are only worried about one thing.

    At the end of the day he didn't do it when it mattered for us. I'd far rather have Shane Long. Robbie Keane is 30 and nowhere near the player he used to be. No resale value and would certainly want high wages.

    We've got a good thing going with hungry young players, lets not ruin it.

    We're forever going to be linked with Keane until he retires. I'll keep it short but if we signed him, I'd be happy. At 30 he has at least 3 years left and he , proved that he can perform in the SPL and score goals.

    His experience would be beneficial to the strikers already here and you can't deny he has a presence.

    The only problem anyone has would be how much he would cost but I'd rather buy him and spend the money, win trophies, than not buy him and not win trophies. I know signing him is no guarantee of trophies but his record with us is good evidence that he'd certainly help.

    he is 31 in a few weeks so 2 years max we would get out of him, plus like you said how much would he cost us in a wage and also in a fee aswell, i would have had him last season but not now

    I don't buy into this whole money grabbing *. He has a * family to support of course he is going to be interested in the financial side of things. Footballers have a short career. If he wants to give his wife and kids the best quality of life possible then I applaud him.

    everybody thats saying keanes finished if he scored 16 goals in half what say 5 month ? and in a pish team imagine in this team for a full season ? . Thats scary to think of btw :50: . If we can get him back for under 4m and on the same sort of wage as Freddie then go for it :86:
