his stock has went down, he was a injury suffering striker in a relegated team on loan from a team that doesnt want him, we could get him for a decent price i think

    Had his chance, he's pish, over-priced & over-rated.

    See that same for Bellamy.

However he still is absolute quality in the SPL. Is that not enough?

No thank you, building a nice young team, no need to buy in a player with no sell on value and costing a fortune in wages. Same for Given, Bellamy etc.

Whaaat? I agree, I'd rather look at other targets, but to say he's pish when he was by far Celtic's best player last season is ludicrous. He'd walk into our team.

He would be a great player for us but he's on the way down and would be very expensive by our standards. Overall I think it would be a bad move signing him.

No thanks ! Will want too much in wages, and i'm sure we need a taller striker. Hooper and Stokes much better than Keane for me. As i said in the Sol Campbell thread a while ago, we are not an EPL retirement home.

You need to be more ruthless, Scot.

He's pish, won nothing for us when he was here, got relegated with West Ham when he was there & Spurs don't want him since buying him back from Liverpool - where he was a * joke.

Pffffft. He was a joke at Liverpool? No he wasn't, he scored a fair amount of goals given the limited chances he had.

He won nothing for us? What, so he's meant to win us the league single-handedly with the damage already done by Mogga and a team of mediocrities around him? By that reasoning we should ditch Brown or any other player who failed to win us the league last season.

listen to the hammers fans...they've been saying he cant run and he's the worst signing ever......was supposed to save them from the drop and offered very little.....there was a time when a fit robbie keane would add to our club.....but not now...he'd add nothing to the current team.

It won't be that when he fires a few past Scotland. :icon_mrgreen:

joking aside I think he is a good player. If we can get him 3 million or less I would definitely sign him.

this forum is goin crazy !! stokes out and keans pish ? honestly where are you people coming from ? is this the same robbie keane who won player of the year last year in 6 months and scored 16 goals ? could any of you imagine the state of our team last year without him and to blame him the league loss last year is crazy !!! we had no defence we had no midfield keane was the only decent thing in our team and stood head and shoulders above the rest. And to say plastic celtic fan is ludicrous! Where would you rather be playing football EPL biggest best league in the world (supposedly) and living in london a big expansive city with the best of gear high end clubs and such with all your mates or up in the glasgow taking all sorts of abuse its ok for us. We grew up in glasgow so i really cnt see how you lot can knock him.

lads you have to think more reasonably....it's getting blown out of proportion here...

    keane a * useless player...?

come on....his finishing, his shooting his link play, his footballing smartness is unquestionable...

pardon me but stokes, samaras and hooper(at this stage) are his breakfast...

keane has cut it at the highest level(15 goals for fun each season at tottenham)
and 16 in 19 for us....

remember that he hasn't forgotten his football just because he wasn't played by redknapp...

i believe that at this stage of his career he would be ideal for our young team as long as we don't pay over 4 million-35k a week for him...

as far as his love affair with money, that's another question but i honestly don't believe that he walked out of celtic last year...

we probably never made an offer for him because lenny wanted to re-build the whole squad with the first season's budget as it was the biggest need....

i can see lenny making an honest offer for him in the summer and i wouldn't be opposed to that....

    in lenny we trust
