four leaf clover, just cant get enough.
I think they may do better than that. There movement from the last few times I have seen them still leaves a lot to be desired but any team with Keane, Donovan, Becks and the rest would give both us and the orcs a very tough push (forgot they don't have Buddle anymore).

i agree with you, and the only reason he would have come to Celtic would be the money also. but you would think his ambition should have been an epl team, or spain, or germany. All about the money imo.

Right, so going to a mid-table club with no ambition on 50k/week is showing... umm... ambition. Yet coming to Celtic or LA, where he would be on the best teams in the league and challenging for a championship, is chasing money. Have I understood you correctly?

And also, it didn't appear he had a choice of going to an EPL team. It's Leicester. I am failing to understand how Leicester is a more ambitious place to be than Los Angeles. People forget that it's actually a really good team and foreigners who come here but don't put the effort in get chewed up very quickly.

I know I have defended Bellamy for holding out for the money and a move to Cardiff to be close to his family but MLS, really?

This can be nothing but money - certainly not ambition!

Then again what footballer hasn't dreamed of playing football in a country where 'soccer' is their 3rd/4th sport?

And no, I'm not having a go at Robbie, I just can't believe he would actually go through with this. But if he does then good luck to him!

After all - he's already lived the dream...

Do people here understand that MLS is actually a league where teams try to win, with fans? It has easily more fans per game than Turkey, Russia, Scotland, Belgium, etc. In fact it's 10th in the world for soccer leagues in attendance right behind the Brasilian Serie A. Not too bad. Also I'd be willing to bet that the 4.5 mil/year is a load of *, just like the absurd 250 million dollar Beckham rumor that went around was. And yeah we have good weather in Southern California, but why is that somehow a negative on this board.

Do MLS teams REALLY fill bigger stadia than CP???

And trust me, good weather is NEVER a negative!

Although we do seem to like our football wet, snowy, dirty, etc, etc... :56:

Not Celtic Park, but if Seattle was in Europe they'd be the 38th best-attended club in the continent, ahead of clubs like Tottenham, Everton, Sevilla, Lyon, Roma, and PSV. And this is despite them playing in such a * league full of washed-up retirees. Imagine if they were playing the likes of Inverness CT every week!

This is why Robbie Keane probably won't end up in LA. LA has to move Donovan, Becks, or Angel before they can even flirt with paying Keane. There is no sign any of that is going on, so until I hear one of them is on the move I won't really believe these rumors.

Actually there are a lot of signs that Angel might move. CUSA want him.

And they have (I believe) the lowest attendance in MLS.

As of the 7th of August, Columbus seems to have the lowest attendance in MLS this season at 10,882. New England was at 12,092.
