Oh Robbie Robbie!
Huge talk goin round today that GS is goin to bid 5.5m euro for robbie keane, the fact Bellamy's goin to Everton means the toffees wont bid for keane, and if andy johnson joins spurs it looks like a bid will be made. Does anyone think the price is too much for a player with 12 months left on his contract? Should we just wait until january to try to arrange a pre-contract?

Leaving it for a year would be just ike saying..."fuckit it doesnt matter this year"
On saying that i would prefer to see that kinda money spen on the defence and a goalkeeper... -

Re: Oh Robbie Robbie!
I'm with you BB.
As I said a few days ago its defenders and a commanding vocal goalkeeper we need, unless GS is gonna take the newcastle under Keegan approach to every game, (they score 4 we'll score 5), -

Right BB, we got the pole coming to work with the forwards. lets not neglect the rest of the squad. no point scoring goals if wer * at the back -

Re: Oh Robbie Robbie!
But does it not excite everyone by having Robbie and Magic upfront?
Although the 5.5m is a little high things can be negotiated. Mo Camara should be getting back to us today. I know he is not a big name signing that we were after but Burnley fans rate him quite highly, so we should all just give him a chance if he's signed up. -

Re: Oh Robbie Robbie!
If we wait until January other clubs will be in the market for Keane but I'm not too sure that it would be value for money (5M?) I sure hope GS doesn't throw good money after Niemi. If he is all that suitable why didn't Mordor go after him to replace Klos or is there sumptin we don't know?? -

Re: Oh Robbie Robbie!
Has there also been talk of him coming up on a year loan so we can get him on a bosman next season? -

Re: Oh Robbie Robbie!
would be great to have robbie and zurawski at parkhead, both have great goal scoring records.
i know we need to strenghten at the back but, i'm sure gordan's got players on his mind for that, we need as much quality all round the pitch. -

Re: Oh Robbie Robbie!
Keane and Zura will cost less than Bellamy, and there will still be cash left, as I have stated many times before,IMO Bellamy is not prolific enough and has a dodgy temprament. Pace isn't everything, remember Mark Burchill? Riordan and Whittaker are long term signings, good for the future, still badly need a goalie and 2 defenders, 1 central, 1 right sided(I'm presuming we sign Camara, otherwise we need a left sided defender too.) -
Re: Oh Robbie Robbie!
Ive heard a lot about this Robbie thing, hope its true
how good would it be to have Zurawski and Keane Up front. -
Re: Oh Robbie Robbie!
Can some1 tell me where this keane thing started from?!!!??!? -
Re: Oh Robbie Robbie!
He's on 70 grand a week at Tottenham. Doubt we'll get him. Yet... anyways. -
Re: Oh Robbie Robbie!
i've not heard any mention of this anywere since jackies test, 3 million for keane would be a steal considering his age but if we sign him thats:
BBJ/ Zurawski / Maloney / Sutton / beattie / keane / fernandaz them wages would come close to 100k a week maybe it's a different thread but who would you let go ??
we'd need 4 strikers tops, which 3 would you dump and think of saving money aswell. -
Re: Oh Robbie Robbie!
I'd be dumping Fernandez, BBJ, Maloney and letting Beattie go on loan for a year. leaving keane, Sutton, Zurawski, Bellamy ;) it will be bellamy or keane or another striker you have my guarantee that Celtic will sign Zurawski + another striker, and also strengthen the rest of the squad 5/6 players coming in. -

Dutch media are saying that Bellamy is joining Everton, Andrew Johnson is joining the spurs and that Robbie KEane is to join The Bhoys :50: :shamrock: :celt_2: :84:
that would be great news if true -
There is already a thread running on this mate!
