nah its a * of a loan but he would not be a wise big money buy or player trade. He is almost 30 and most strikers (I know there are exceptions) slowly tail off in their early 30s. More so than any other positions. Also his wages would be far far too much. He would have very little value in 2 years time. I cant see our money men doing that.

Just heard that too, a player of his calibre is very fitting for the jersey!

I would love it if he came permanently, he may well stay for 30-40g a week (he doesn't need the cash), and a 6m fee.

Granted, There would be no resale value but we could win the league every year and the transfer would effectivly pay for its self

lets say he scores 20 goals before the end of season.. how much would you really pay for him? try to be realistic...

I'd say 6-8mil maybe 8 if we get to the CL :50:

i liked what lawell said on ssn..theres no conract agreement for a price but hopefully he likes it here and wants to stay.. more or less!

Think this will be a Bellamy type deal. But what a deal.

Doubt we can afford to get him permanently, but I am looking forward to the next 6 months at least.

    Welcome home Rob

Have a feeling it's only happening because spurs can't ship out Pavlyuchenko. He'll be back in the spurs team once Gudjohnsen goes back to Monaco and they offload Pavlyuchenko. But he may want to stay and maybe a deal can be struck
