But then you spot Starfelt and Taylor and think, we need to exploit that left side......

Turnbull does * all work and has only shown it under Ange in games where we were slaughtering teams. Don't think it's just effort with him think mobility plays a part

Figured I'd chime in since I live in Charlotte. He was their 2nd overall signing (they are a new club) and Charlotte FC were supposed to have started in 2021 but were delayed until this year because of the pandemic. Because of that, they loaned him to Birmingham. Charlotte's first ever match is in late Feb and we still don't have a full roster yet. I'm assuming they are happy to take the money and reinvest it at this stage as they continue to fill out their squad. By all accounts from what I've heard he did really well there, think he didn't play right away but that might of just been because he was a loan player.

As I said after we signed the three Japanese lads, we’re so close to having a very good side. Get a proper left back and we’re laughing, especially if Jullien makes a full recovery.

High energy, attacking midfielder who can press and likes to get into the box. Exactly the type of player we need.

The fact Ange knows him just makes it better.

    Charlotte is a girls name.

Edit: In all seriousness, that’s quite interesting. Do you think it’s likely we’ll get him?

Looks the part, hopefully it's done quickly..

We need midfielders we can rotate without losing any quality, we're also crying out for midfielders who can go beyond the low defensive block.. Rogic and Turnbull don't really run in behind..

A long thread, but worth a read. Shows stats, how he'll fit in to Ange's style. Also not a replacement for Jota.

Looks tailor made for us under Ange, great athleticism and mobility.

Yep. A poor work rate is something that can't be levelled at Turnbull. Works his * off every game.

Turnbull’s work rate isn’t the issue - his stamina is though. Although it is improving, he does/did fade in the 2nd half of games.

Disappointing simply because I wanted Wolf but he does look a player McGree..

Remember he was the next big thing but it doesn't look to have happened for whatever reason?

In the video's he reminds me of Christie when he was a good box to box 8..

Arrives late. Great left peg. Can cross/from set pieces as well. Seems a very accurate finisher (McGree, no Christie :fear:)

    Is he good defensively?

Just turned 23 so still a good age to improve..

A box to box midfielder with an eye for a pass and offers a goal threat. Yes please.
