They are not reliable for player prices. They have tierney at 11 million.

    Aye but canny see it.

I think Lennon would rather a physical, defensive LB in the mould of Elhamed. With Boli being the attacking option.

imo this transfer is similar to Jullien's in many ways. The only reason we got Jullien was him coming off a bad season, he was touted for moves to the bpl for years for aorund 15 million.

Slightly similar with Henry but with Injuries, if he didn't have that serious injury he'd be first choice for a top 6 bpl club imo.

Bad season for Jullien I thought he was in top3 for ligue1 last season for winning aerial duels and interceptions?

@Hammy89 if you want to stick your head in the sand and keep happy clapping the boards massive downsizing then go ahead!

Our left hand side which have been solid since 2016 and 2 massive contributions gone during a game!

£56m in fees received - £15m reinvested since a year ago today.

Downsizing? What's your proof of this? We've lost a few players this summer...same as every summer...especially when we have a change of management. Last season we didn't have the best window. One of the reasons why Rodgers left. That was the weakest window in memory but you can't say it's happened time and again.
You can't act like the board haven't financially backed Lennon so far. He'll spend more and, more importantly, the window hasn't * shut yet. We have no idea what we will look like come September.

It's our business model move on young talent for decent fees. Been the same way for over a decade. Ajax and Porto do the same but on a bigger budget that we don't have. We could do the same for one window and then we wouldn't be able to again for a long time. We simply cannot sustain that sort of spending in the long run.

Has Sinclair gone? No. Sinclair is leaving this summer for a fee or next for nothing. No way about it. It all depends what's put on the table.

Tierney was always going to move on. He's a top talent that I'd put in the same bracket as Dembele, VVD and Wanyama.

You've been an over the top, negative * for a wee while now. Calm down.

Proof - over £40m profit from player trading in last 12 months.

14 players gone and replaced with 3.

£13m per season wiped off wage bill.

KT and Sinclair to Bolingoli-Mbombo and Morgan.

We all know how this plays out and will be proven right by end of window.

Celtic board are creating competition they are fannies and I detest them! The contempt the show for our fans is unreal!

Aye, so what you're saying is the business model is working. We still bring in cheap players and sell then on for mega money when they've done us a turn.

14 players gone? Since when? Have we missed them? Are we going to strengthen still?

    3 gone? Who?

Who says Morgan and Boli are the replacements? Who says that they or whoever we bring in, won't be a success? Who says we don't have anyone in the youth team that'll be our next McGeady, McGregor, Forrest, Tierney?

If you want the £40m profit invested, you're off your rocker. No club blows their profits into their next batch of players. One club comes to mind and they went bust for it. Live within your means.

The Huns didn't go bust because they reinvested their profits in their playing staff. Stop talking pish.
