If the Dunney-monster threw on the Hoops I'd have a hard-on for weeks.

It appears Villa are willing to offload him - he has been linked with Stoke - and Villa need to offload players, they may have their own financial problems. Dunne has performed consistently at a top level for many years while also having the odd clanger and the odd heroic stand out performance v Russia for example.

I think if we got him on a reasonable wage - in line with other top earners at the cub - his experience would be invaluable for Celtic in the CL, so long as we get there. He has been injury prone, if we were to get him and we make the CL, then I'd see him used in CL matches and rested for half of the SPL season.

Celtic can think about building one team for the CL and another for SPL with an overlap between the two.

Yes please :50: , Been a top player for the past ten years in the prem. 10 times better than any of the centre backs we have at the minute so if its possible get him in ASAP.

We are Celtic we still need marquee signings that capture the imagination of the fans and shift a few shirts as well. Dunne would fit the bill in that context too. Crucially, he still has the legs to perform at CL level for another couple of seasons. Snap him up I say.

Is he 33 now? Jesus. We could still get one or two seasons out of him i suppose. Maybe two years too late?

I agree, it's amazing how some people just don't get it.

He is old but he still has the legs which is the more important than his age.

If we are 2 years too late we might have got 4 out of him, still 2 years is better than none.:50:

If he wants to come to Parkhead and the wages are a stumbling block, Dermot Desmond might be interested.

He would be happy to settle for £25k - £30k a week if he came here I'd say. he's going on 33 after all.

The guy's 32 and has never played in a Champions League. He should be jumping at this!

I think he'd probably be a good signing for us. He's a leader and he would help to organise our back four.

He might be happy but if hes offered more else where Im sure hed take it which Id say he will. Not sure wed pay him that either to be honest at that age and not sure Id want us too either.

I know someone like him is needed but it just doesn't go with our transfer policy.

 I'll take Mulgrew over Dunne any day of the week. It's amazing how little some people value our players. I'd even take Rogne before Dunne, although Dunne's probably the better player. Even if he's not past it, his career's only going to go downhill from now on.

The only way he'd come here is if no other Premier League club wants him. We shouldn't be looking for EPL rejects; I'd much rather have a less experienced centre-half who's going somewhere - * Boly, for example. Just my view though.

If he signs and plays well for us, I'll be happy to be wrong. I don't think there's any truth in this rumour though.
