Don't think it got much to do with foreigners. I already wrote a post earlier with a few of the many cases that police vs (domestic) footballfans almost always end with the police winning. It's the mindstate of society that police will speak truth and football fans not.

It sounds like the argument was he was hit for resisting arrest but the judge has just pointed out he wasn't charged for resisting arrest. Surely that makes it obvious the violence was unlawful?

So they've probably got next to no hope then.

There is always some hope. And there are some fans who did win.

All untrue. There were some Celtics who have stolen a flag from Ajax, they tried to hide in the mass, the undercover agents caught the innocent persons and the mass was calm and tried to assist the innocent people in explaining this matter. Then they started to assault Celtics and it escalated.

What happened in their childhood that they think they can mislead the case? Dutch police are all * hooligans, with no sensibility. It cannot get too safe, otherwise they will lose their employment. Hopefully we get some prove for that side of the story.

Reflects that of society...Things from Police etc are blindly accepted. More so nowadays, is the presumption of guilty until proven innocent.

At prime time it was shown on Dutch public channel 1 television. Amsterdam Police will beat the dust. Good that your government gets involved. I am very glad with all the media and political attention, and wish you victory.

Suspect said police failed miserably in controlling the situation. Claps from public. Judge says this is only time he will accept that.
