Reports of Ajax fans causing bother

Well i sat in the home end, almost didn't even get in, all stewards were under orders not to let anyone from scotland into the home end. They demanded to see ID and if you had glasgow on it you were screwed. Saw countless tims knocked back by the stewards.

I myself got in because luckily enough we had ID showing we were from Aberdeen, that guy asked is that in Scotland? We said its 150 miles from Glasgow, didn't actually say if it was in Scotland or not and he let us through. :icon_mrgreen:

I did not feel safe at all sitting with the ajax fans, there was certainly a volatile atmosphere, a good one at that, especially with the roof closed, but it was definitely heart in mouth throughout the game.

Will someone please explain something to me. Here in the states, if someone captures video of cops beating the f*** out of a defenseless person for the * of it, there is massive public outrage. At this point, there was no threat to the cops, the guy was already in custody. Please tell me the police force is launching an internal investigation ON THEIR OWN and this PIECE OF * is, at a minimum, indefinitely suspended without pay...

They are militarising police forces around the world. In the United States, the police have * tanks and RPG's now. Do you think they need to that stop burglaries and assaults? No they are preparing the police for war on the public. This was just a training exercise for them.

governments are denying people their freedom of speech but I highly doubt they are all just planning on world oppression.

 

Their behaviour was not at all strange by European standards. British football police have, despite the hate they get, actually done brilliantly in recent years, keeping arrests and violence down by just not getting involved and creating a volatile atmosphere.

But in mainland Europe, even the richest countries such as France and Germany, the attitude is very much one of "hit first, ask questions later" and because of years of violence at the hands of ultras and casuals, as well as other violence in their societieis (riots are far more common in Europe, for example) the public there are happier to accept it.

 

Like I said, here in the United States. I don't doubt that some of the European police forces probably have tanks now as well. This is just one example, below, of tanks in America. In tampa florida:
