    As fans we can go anywhere and behave ourselves overall 99% of the time. We never go looking for trouble. But push enough we will react. Our fans are no shrinking violets. A lot of our support come from working class backgrounds, from tough housing estates in Glasgow, across Scotland, Belfast, Derry, Dublin. Etc. we have dealt with confrontations in our daily lives. Me personally I have saw police brutality on many levels. And even the most peaceful of people, I have saw react with violence.

    I don't have a problem with that statement. Not sure where you get the idea that the club isn't backing them.

    They play for CFC just to reach the EPL. No love for CFC as deluded fans think

    Yeah lets liase with them & indirectly critises our fans for defending themselves. Why didn't we behave like good little supporters and get pasted left, right and centre.

    * AJAX & Their POLICE.

    Agreed,bit of a relief tbh,expected condemnation of our own support based on some of their previous statements.

    The Celtic support's reputation in Europe is one of the very best,there clearly was provocation and heavy handedness (to put it in a nice way) by those thugs with badges.There should only be one conclusion to Celtic's findings,I look forward to hearing them.

    Spot on. Even of the last statement as well, we made our way to the ground surrounded by mostly Ajax fans. Both sets of supporters singing back and forth on the metro and having a laugh. Was then talking to a few of them outside the ground and we were taking the * out each other, all in good nature.

    Celtic fans went to have a party, a wee drink, a wee smoke and maybe even watch a game of football. Ajax "casuals" and "plain clothed" police officers are the cause of all this *.

    Anyone spouting * about our fans do this *...and that *, can * off! Not surprised to see these views coming from folks that weren't there.

    Liaise is a broad term - it can easily be PR speak for arm twisting. I think the statement was great and a relief.

    Just back home from Amsterdam. I was in dam square just before it kicked off. Brilliant atmosphere amongst the fans and apart from the mess we made ( one * of a mess ) we weren't doing anything but have a good time. Police looked they wanted us moved and the mate I was with said the police took no * when getting people off the streets. There's ways and means to do * like that and the Dutch police need to take a look at themselves

    Ps - who's the bright spark who suggested putting plain clothes police officers into the crowd?!?!

    I want to know what the police officers were doing undercover in the first place. If you dress as hooligans and pretend to be hooligans then what the * do they expect Celtic fans to do?

    Cops in continental Europe have always acted this way. They take no prisoners and dont mess about.

    Also Celtic in Europe has always been the good, the bad, and the ugly. Sure * happens and Celtic fans stand up for themselves. But some of our fans seem to care only about our reputation since Seville. The last time we played Ajax in Europe we had fights nobody talked about their disgust at Celtic fans letting the club down, back then we went to the game to see the celtic and if Ajax in this case wanted trouble they would get it back if the * started.

    Ajax are hun * btw and the cops are * trying to blame celts for starting this when the boundaries were clearly set 2 weeks ago in Glasgow by Ajax and sevconians.

    Another problem last night was Anderlecht fans teaming up with the VAK410 and F-Side scum.
