Don't be telling japan. Not needing him sent out just as he recovers to be injured again.

Think they’ve named their squad already.

Really missed the lad. Been a * year for him.

Should never have went to Asia Cup. No kicked a ball all season with injuries

Be great to see him smash the huns again

In all seriousness, he's been massively missed, along with other key players throughout the season.

Much like CCV though, I wouldn't rush him for the weekends game, rather he takes it easy and give him the extra week or two to get back fully fit.

Reo (Hatate’s) not an option for this weekend, we will look at that again after the international break, thankfully he is back training with the squad now but he still has a bit of work to do over the next few weeks in terms of his actual football fitness

Can chuck any idea of him making an impact at Ibrox in my opinion.

Brendan Rodgers insists Reo Hatate’s return will be “huge” for Celtic as the Japan ace gets set to play in a closed-doors friendly over the next week.

The midfielder hasn’t started a game for the Hoops since October and not featured at all since January 2 after picking up a calf injury on Asian Cup duty with his country. But Rodgers has scheduled a bounce game for during the international break with Hatate among a clutch of players set to get valuable minutes into their legs.

And the Parkhead boss says he can’t wait to go into the home straight in the ferocious title race with close to a full squad for almost the first time this season. All going well Hatate will be back in the mix for the return to Premiership action against Livingston on March 31 - with the third Old Firm of the season arriving at Ibrox seven days later.

The 26-year-old has managed only 13 appearances for Celtic since Rodgers returned for a second spell in charge in the summer. But the manager reckons he can play a big part in the run-in with eight games remaining in the title race and a Scottish Cup semi final against Aberdeen a month away

Rodgers revealed Hatate was back in training last week and “progressing well”. Now he’s set to step that up in a friendly. And Rodgers said: “Yeah, that’s the plan. We want to get minutes into Reo and push him on. We’ll get some of the players working here, have a game and get some of them up to speed. Reo will be huge for us.”

Mental we've been without him for the 99% of the season so far.

    We've had some horrendous injuries.

Calmac, Hatate, CCV and Kyogo fit for the run in after the break till end of the season and I don't see us losing the league.

Literally the best players in the league for their position. Not even a contest.

Glad to hear they are going to try get him some game time during the break. That hopefully means he will be able to play at least half an hour vs Livi and we can judge where he is fitness wise.

I wouldn’t want him thrown in against them if he is only as fit as he was for that game at Celtic park last year and he clearly wasn’t fit.

However,(big) if we have players available again we suddenly have options midfield forward.

You have Iwata, McGregor, O’Riley, Hatate and Bernardo. You could start with the old reliable 3 get in front and bring on Iwata and Bernardo to control the game later in.

You could start Kuhn and Maeda but then bring Yang on to run at tired legs and if you needed something Palma could be an option.

Idah, forms slipped a bit but still a different option to Kyogo if we want to go more direct.

Don’t get me wrong I want that team strengthened for next season but some decent options possibly for the first time this season.

It would be a massive boost if he is back and ready to play soon.

Good we've arranged a bounce game..

As, said before he seems to take an age to come back after injury, a bit like Rogic..

Wouldn't risk him at Livingston because of the surface, maybe some minutes at Ibrox from the bench depending how the game is..

Mental he's onky started 7 games this season..

Need to bit careful with him and hopefully see the best of him after the split for the run in..

Aye game v St mirren should be one we are looking at for him and then hopefully have him at it for the last 7 games

It's just so typical of our luck this season that the game we have before the hun game us on that * abomination of a pitch. Im in 2 minds if I'd even risk Ccv on it tbh

I know, I don't think we can afford to take a chance by leaving CCV out tho..
