Find it quite odd that some movies thta had big theatrical releases are now considered 'films nobody has heard of' lol...

Here's a few from off the beaten path that are well worth a look:

The Legend of 1900 (Tim Roth, dir. Guiseppe Tornatore)
Trees Lounge (dir & stars Steve Buscemi)
Virtually everything Hal Hartley has made: Simple Men, Trust, Unbelievable Truth, etc.
Albino Alligator (Gary Sinise, dir. Kevin Spacey)
Nil By Mouth (Ray Winstone, dir Gary Oldman - when you see it, you'll know why he made 'Lost In Space' & 'Air Force One' etc, lol)

Tom Thumb - Russ Tamblyn as Tom, Terry Thomas and Peter Sellers as the villains.

cracker of a film, great songs and the animation is way ahead of its time but a little freaky

    Taegukgi - Korean war film.

Saló is an Italian film which is worth a watch. It can be quite disturbing at times, but is surprisingly funny.
