The Man From Earth - 10/10 for me great film. What a movie.

he Man from Earth is a 2007 film written by Jerome Bixby and directed by Richard Schenkman. The film stars David Lee Smith as John Oldman, the protagonist of the story. The screenplay for this movie was conceived by Jerome Bixby in the early 1960s and was completed on his death bed in April 1998, making it his final piece of work.[2] The movie gained recognition in part for being widely distributed through Internet peer-to-peer networks and its producer publicly thanked users of these networks for this. The film tells a story of John Oldman, a man claiming to be a Cro-Magnon caveman, who still survives after 14,000 years. The entire film is shot in a small house and its porch, relying solely on the conversation of the characters to keep the plot moving: the film is an intellectual discourse between the alleged 14,000-year-old Cro-Magnon and his professor and teacher friends at his farewell party.

I can see why people are a bit "meh" about it but worst film ever?? Why?!?!?

Any film with Stallone, Harvey Kietel, Ray Liotta, Robbo De Niro and Robert Patrick is a winner in my book!

An appreciation for The JaMC, but not Copland? Well, I don't know how to react to that. Give it another try. The ending is * excellent.

Actually, thinking about Copland, Michael Rappaport (who plays Superboy) is in a great Indie film called Special. He takes a new anti-depressant and believes they give him superhero powers. Dark, but morbidly funny.

Good film. Saw it in the Cameo in Edinburgh. See also Slacker (pretty much the same film, but without rotoscope) and A Scanner Darkly (both by the same director). I'm sure you're aware that Linklater also directed Dazed & Confused.

K-Pax - Prot is a patient at a mental hospital who claims to be from a far away planet. His psychiatrist tries to help him, only to begin to doubt his own explanations.

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (in fact any Wes Anderson film, Rushmore etc)

Recently saw Timecrimes, Spanish sci fi thriller. Like a feature length Twilight Zone episode.

Love a lot of the 70s 80s sci fi, Omega Man, Soylent Green also The Quiet Earth, a New Zealand last man on earth movie. Quirky but cool.

This looks pretty good as well. :50:
