Lets me put it this way,you don't buy them to make money.:smiley-laughing002:
Prices vary because them come with different packages and you will get them bare bones for around £1500 or 6 months old for £1200.
I went new because i got 5 year warranty.

Nothing worth more than a few hundred pounds all coins,

But plenty of interesting stuff if your into that sort of thing.....roman coins and broaches.

Got a few coins from 1120 short cross hammered and long cross hammered.

But i have seen a bloke find a saxon coin he got 5k for and there is a bloke local who has just found his 2nd viking hoard in three years and two weeks ago he turned up to a dig in a new Bentely.:31:

So it can happen, but if you do it to make money your a fool.

Old lad I know, found an ancient sword just outside Forfar, had to hand it over to the Crown Office. I think it was, then wait on his money, is this law or can you just sell it privately?

By law you inform the finds officer in your area and depending on...how old it is and what precious metals are involved they may want it or not.

If there is gold or silver and i think over 200 years old they take it,but it is case by case so something may be made of lead and 200 years old but very rare or connected to someone famous.

Normally they tell you how much they are going to give you and you split the money 50/50 with the land owner.

Or you may find it and tell no * and sell it on the fly....but if its rare or gold ect and it gets spotted being sold your in the *.:smiley-laughing002:
