I've never seen trouble between fans at Scotland matches.
If a rangers player scores then I'd cheer.
Because he's scoring for Scotland not Rangers.Last edited by a moderator: Dec 20, 2008 -

No trouble or not very much at least. I cheer and always will although I would rather a Celtic player had scored but aslong as Scotland win.

You're from Bargeddie in Glasgow in Scotland.
What's wrong with Scotland? -
Not the country, the National team.
How can you cheer on Huns I just don't get it. Only thing I like it is the hope Huns get injured part from that good laugh watching them get beat. -

On of the biggest cheers I ever done was last November when Barry Ferguson scored against Italy.
Like others have said, when its Scotland playing, all that matters is its Scotland, its got nothing to do with Celtic, Rangers or any other club. -

I don't get why people find it so strange, it happens in most countries, I'm sure the Irish fans wouldn't stop supporting the R.O.I. if Rangers - for whatever reason - signed an Irish player. -
You can't be serious if you let club football stand in front of you National Team.
For me, it's different, i don't recognise NI as my nationality, im Irish, so i support Ireland. However, if Shay Given decided to join the Huns it would make no difference to me, he'd still IMO be our top man and always a legend!!
Get over it matey... it's a wee bit bitter and that sort of * doesnt suit us Celtic Fans!! -

I support Celtic and Ireland. In terms of International football, Scotland are my second team. When Barry Bawbag, Kirk Bigfoot etc wear the Lion Rampant on their chest, all thoughts about the Manky Mob go out the window for me. I'm a Celt and a Gael, so I have a natural affintiy with Alba.
The Huns are more concerned with England and Northern Ireland, so leave them to it. Think about it, when the two aforementioned teams line out they have '* Save The Queen' as their anthem - as you well know, it's an imperialistic, anti-Scottish diatribe.
Scotland play 'Flower Of Scotland', a tribute to Willaim Wallace and Robert The Bruce's collective attempts to stand up to English agression. I somehow think that Pro-British Huns might have more of an issue with FOS. -
Thanks for your great contributive post. -

going back a wee bit but ive been in the "rangers end" supporting scotland folks and the abuse dished out to celtic players ( roy aitken especially ) was disgraceful , and from women !!. on saturday i went to a local pub to watch the game and the talk was mostly about david murrays plans and how the millions would be rolling in. then the subject of scott brown being useless was discussed. ehhhh best scot on show. finally the racial abuse directed at iwelumo after his miss was disgusting. it was a known hun place but the second one i'd tried after missing the start of the match.

I'll put it like this
I'm a Celtic fan not a Scotland one. I couldn't give two hoots Scotland won, drew or lost. when Scotland lose are you as down in the Dumps as when Celtic lose ?
Anyway the guy talking about his time in the Pub, another reason why the * would I want to support the same team and socialise with those knuckle dragging *.
Celtic first
Celtic reserves Second
Celtic Youth 3rd
