It's definitely plummeted a bit the hysteria though. Used to be much more nauseating, still is, but less so..

Fan wise I don't even think I've felt a buzz down here for it being this close. A lot of my pals couldn't really give a * now..

The estate's and white van man doesn't seem as prevalent with the flags....or maybe I've just no noticed as much..

 

Genuinely doesn’t bother me that much. Always a good bit of banter with my mates about it.

 

Although the self-implosion could be just round the corner here. I know a guy that has worked as a youth coach teaching all sorts of kids for the FA. After the last contract he was offered he has decided to go on his own and isn't the only one he says. He is building up a decent business teaching boys and girls of all age groups but is doing it himself. He seems to think the FA are been pretty short-sighted and now they have won those tournaments they aren't building on it. Next 10-15 years will show if that is right or not.

 

I think a lot of us down here can have a bit of banter with pals. As I've already said, a lot mine don't really give a * anymore, so even that novelty of ripping the pish when they get * out is almost gone. It's everywhere else. The usual arseholes, even on here. The media. The Barmy Army/take me home utter bawbags. Current player's like Alli, Lingard, Vardy etc etc..

If they fluke it far, you'll see how unbearable it is. They'll all come out the woodwork..

My da and uncle/his brother are on another level for these tournaments with them. Same thing, won't go to their locals or out for it but screaming the place down at my old dears when they get pumped. Iceland the latest example
