Thought I'd post in here and see if anyone has experienced anything similar. I just bought the Lord of the rings trilogy on DVD, plan was to watch it last night but kept getting error message CE-35491-2 appearing on my ps4 when trying to play the first DVD. Tried it on my ps3 as well but still wouldn't play. Has anyone had anything like this before?

Yahoo answers says to try switching the HDMI port on your TV

Some people have said that switching to another HDMI input and then back can fix this. Makes me think there might be some kind of HDMI handshake issue at play, maybe it isn't detecting the HDCP or something. Doesn't work for everyone, but worth a try. Yell at Sony about it though. I have a PS4 but use a a separate stand alone player for blu-ray and DVD. "

Try a different DVD, see if that works. Then you can work out whether it's a disc problem or a hardware problem.

Seems to be a problem with the disc itself.Artorias likes this. -
