The last couple of games are giving me reason to think we are on the improve: A couple of clean sheets, some of the new signings settling in well and the prospect of a couple more to be added.
I read on another post- asking the question is this our level? I would have to say yes at the moment, but again I am looking with the glass half full.
We have a new squad again who will hopefully get the right result next week and finish the job. this will give the squad some European experience ( with an extended run hopefully).
I believe we will win the league this year, sign another couple of players to strengthen again and have a tilt at Champions league football again.
We have the young kid Forrest coming through and I am sure we will probably see a couple more get their chance when the time is right, not sure which ones - thoughts on that welcome.
All in all I am upbeat at the moment, Bhoys have won again and I am a Celtic supporter - What a great way to start the day:icon_mrgreen:

Still cautious as I was excited about Mowbray's team this time last year.

Signs look good, areas that we have struggled in for a long time look to be addressed. Notably, a stable commanding centre half, with a left back also due to take his place in the side.
The midfield looks strong, we have lots of options and talent in the middle, however in the wide areas we currently don't have anyone who will guarentee us a full season injure free. McCourt, maloney, and Mcginn have been unlucky with injuries and forrestvis unproven.
In attack we also require a proven striker.
We desperately need another goalie as zaluska is not good enough to be the no1 and cervi is not ready to be no2.
The question is Will the board build on the good work Lennon has done so far or will they hold on to the cash made and gamble with the league and risk losing out in excess of 12m. Because rangers are stronger this season than they were last season and their players are experienced and have been over the course before.
It looks like it will be an interesting season.. -
the best thing for me is since the braga game, we havent been punting the ball up the pitch nearly as much which is great, its mostly mulgrew that does it, even loovens keeps it down now, hoepfully lennon told them to stop and they keep playing on the ground

I'm excited about the SPL and the Europa league this year.........
I still think we have a keeper coming before the end of the transfer window and possibly another striker. There are great times ahead I think!! :green: -
Cant see Lenny throwing loads of them in like he's a clever guy and will know what to do next to come through garunteed Filip Twardzik he's only 17 though. -
this is our chance now we have mcgeady money to bring in 3 quality signings a gk,cb and a goalscorer and im happy
-

Yup u have every right to be but Im thinking lennys gony get this right. Yes there will be the odd upset but I can see Neil, Johan, Alan and Garry being here atleast 5yrs. Well thats what im hoping anyway. -
Exactly a bit of stability with the management team, some solid inclusions now & future. If we get off to a good start in the League, we should carry that momentum forward into Europe.
I am a bit more optimistic with the Bhoys in charge at the moment than I was last year. Don't know why I just am.:celt_2: -

I am excited. I'm allowed to be. 1 decent performance, 2 great performances from 4 competitive games.
If last night, the Callie game (after 20 mins) and the second half of the Braga home tie is how we're gonnae play when we're reminded so often off the hordes of mordor it takes time to gel then OOft! Keep this steady incline of performances and OOft!!
However, my greatest hope is that watching this team play so far they will NOT be bullied by Rangers like we were last season. -

I think we'll know a bit more when the transfer window shuts. It'll let us know more on what to do with the squad with all the potential comings and goings. But things are looking up although 2 games is still a bit early to judge. I think my main optimism is that if this squad can maintain good form and go on to have a great season, win the league etc it could last for a good few years. Our squad has some good young player and some potetential youth players in Forrest, Rogne, Misun, Twardzik.
Now onto the duties of completing our squad with a GK & goalscorer -
I was wondering if thats what he said! I was sure I heard him say that but then thought, nah, it must have been something else!:celt_2:
Yes, we are showing a LOT of promise. Kayal looks wonderful, Juarez even better, Majstorovic looks solid as a boulder, Ledley looking good. Nice, fast paced play, good passing, good efforts.
But, get rid of Zaluska, he just doesn't do it for me, his positioning always seems very dodgy and he is an accident waiting to happen in my oppinion. -
Anyone else hear THUNDER in the air?
-
Jim Craig, what a guy :celt_2:
-
I heard that. -
Things are certainly looking promissing, with such a new squad and management team I'm sure there will be some bumps along the way, when we encounter one of those bumps in the road it's then that the fans have to step in and show their continued support, but I'm most definitely looking forward to the season ahead as I think there is a good balance in our team just now with players who compliment each others abilities.
The management team are more than able to get this team playing as a team again, I'm not going to get overly excited just now but the signs are good so far and long may it continue.
