Post Mortum - whats the solution?

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by topbhoy1967, Sep 17, 2008.

  1. well said , post above mor or less the same:50:

  2. Sorry Demsey - just wait until December!! This is one crap team playing * football. Too easy to quote the Strachan record - lucky or what!! Look at the results this season - we are in trouble - BIG TROUBLE!!!

I've been through some desperate days with this club and we are heading for a real fall again. Strachan is completely out of his depth and the Board have lied to us all - Where are the wow signings now?????????

  3. Thanks KD.

Also I wouldn't mind trying a different formation. With Crosas sitting deep, Brown on the right, Robson on the left. McGeady and Maloney sitting behind Samaras who is upfront.

I would also like to add that this was a hard game to play anygood football tonight, Allborg sat behind the ball all night and that showed with their reactions to a draw.

I definately think we will get the Uefa Cup place by winning our 2 home games, but to progress we need to beat Allborg away and you wonder if their fans would let them defend like they did tonight.

  4. I expect something like this if we loose the league but not at this stage of the season. Get a hold of yourself man

  5. this might sound crazy to a lot of people but i think our biggest problem has been how bad the huns have been the last 3 years. even if we dont perform in europe, play bad football, a lot of fans and especially the board are still happy enough to be just a little better than a poor rangers team. just look at the board as soon as rangers were knocked out of europe our ambition went with them. i have no doubt that if rangers had got through to the cl we would have signed tamas and maybe a couple more,

  6. The Danes knew our system too well and dealt with it comfortably.

  7. The Tamas deal fell through before Rangers went out of Europe

  8. imo i think our problem is lack going forward. pass and move we seem to be not to bad a passing but movement at times is shocking. I think the thing that celtic lack is a forward like craig bellamy that guy if he came back would make such a difference to our team.

imo january will be a big month for us as i think we will need some players in.

  9. it was obvious that the board gambled that rangers wouldnt invest in the team after being knocked out, and so far that gamble is failing

  10. I'll take 0-0 in the CL rather than be Outa Europe

  11. Well I'd rather get my eyes pulled out of my sockets than watch Rangers' '07-'08 UEFA Cup games, but neither of those are hardly appealing, are they?

  12. your right the movement is shocking, i remember at 1 point when brown had the ball in the middle and robson had his back to the ball. when you look at the likes of wba in the epl, they have one of the worst squads in the epl yet they play entertaining football.

  13. But yet you ignore the fact that defeats your theory.

  14. Agreed , its one game ,a bad game at that but ffs calm down ,its not end of the world stuff as yet ,celtic will do okay this season ,yes i think GS has to look deeper into his squad and change a bit ,but given time they will produce.

  15. what fact are you on about? that we get 1 quality signing

  16. Do you have amnesia? Your post claiming that Celtic pulled out of transfers

The Tamas deal was called off before Rangers were knocked out which defeats your wild theory

  17. Amen to this, WGS saying they're too young or making any allusions that that they don't have the adequate CL experience is moot; he signed them because he believes they have the talent, so send them out in the 11 on a regular basis to get the right results.

Starting Crosas (for a good run of games at least) is so obvious, I don't know whether to laugh or cry. We have NO creative force in the middle. The only question about playing Crosas, in my mind, is HOW GREAT of an effect would he have on the flow of our attack?

Even if he had no effect at all (I wouldn't bet on that one!), we couldn't be any more clueless in this area. I've probably seen Crosas play for 30 minutes, and I don't need to see anymore; I've watched the alternatives play for 30+ games. CROSAS TO START NOW!!!

  18. How many times have we been here before.
It is still a level playing field. O.K. we again as in the past failed to take advantage of a favoured result between Man u & Villa Real, but it's still all to play for.
Keep the heads up we will still be here when wgs and his non Celtic players have gone.

  19. Certainly seems worth a try. We'll never know until it's tried out.
