    Forgot he existed.

Surprised we didn't see a few more appearances off the bench from him, wasn't he supposed to be going out on loan in the summer but Rodgers was impressed by him and cancelled the move, then only makes a handful of cameos and gets sent out on loan in jan anyway, seems an odd decision.

Thought a loan spell would do him some good but he’s barely featured for Oldham, not sure if he’s been injured or what.

Near enough, only kept 4, Dembele, Christie, Armstrong and Gordon. Granted Dembele probably wants away .

Gordon, Kouassi, Armstrong, Dembele and Christie I wouldn't want to sell from that list, but the reality is Armstrong and Dembele will probably be off in the summer. I like Gamboa but he's never getting a game so might as well get him off the wages.

25 man squad is the usual goal (some youth/fringe to be expected) and our typical formation is 4231. So with that in mind and three players contracts ending (just loans of Paddy, Bain and Edouard), this is what we are going to be left with come summer.

    Gordon
    Lustig, Ajer, Hendry, Tierney
    Brown, Ntcham
    Forrest, Rogic, Sinclair
    Dembele

    New Keeper
    Ralston, New CB, Jozo, Miller
    Eboue, McGregor
    Charly, Christie, Morgan
    Griffiths

    Get rid of;
De Vries (Gordon as well, but I will make my peace that I won't get that luck)
    Boyata,
    Commper,
    Erik,
    Gamboa,
    Hayes,
    Bitton,
    Allen,
Benyu (willing to give a shot, but sort of lost hope)
    Ciftci

Ten out the door, surely can save around 60k a week on wages. Transfer fee, perhaps bring in 4-6 million with the most coming from Bitton(£3m), Erik(£1m) and Boyata(£1.5m).

Keeper, CBx2, CMx1, STx1 - Five players in the door.

Players coming out of contract that we could take a look at:

Gk - Lukas Hradecky, Wayne, Hennesey, Pau Lopez, Tim Krul
CB - Ivan Marcano, Diogo Reyes, Evgen Khacheridi, Damian Da Silva, Marc-Oliver Kempf,
CM - Dani Garcia, Sergio Canales, Yaya, and bring home Ledley or Ki
ST - Hernandez, Pukki (could do worse for 3rd choice), Balloteli is out of contract....just saying ha.

Some aren't probably good enough, some too pricy for wages, but there is a selection there on a free. Then there are some we should and could just go out and buy.

I expect a decent amount of in-out transfers going on and hopefully finally see this squad trimmed down properly.

Benyu looked decent against Lyon and Kilmarnock, played better against killie than what 40k a week musonda did. Keep him and loan him to an spfl team. Christie should be given a chance next season to fill Armstrong/ Rogic role if they're leaving. We need to get rid of players like gambi, sviatchenko and bring in two new fullbacks that Rodgers will actually play

What I'd love to see (never gonna happen)

    ....................Bain.......................
    (new RB)....Ajer....Lindsay....Tierney
    ..........................Brown...............
    ..........Ntcham.............................
    Forrest........McGregor..........Sinclair
    ..................Dembele....................

    ....................Gordon....................
    Lustig.....Hendry....Compper.....Miller
    ...........................McGinn.............
    ........Armstrong............................
    Musonda........Christie..........Morgan
    ......................Griff......................

in: new wing-back (let's say Ryan Fredericks on a free transfer from Fulham), Lindsay, McGinn, Bain
out: DDV, Jozo, Boyata, Sviatchenko, Gamboa, Ralston (loan), Benyu (loan/perm/whatever), Bitton, Allan, Kouassi (loan?), Rogic(there, I said it), Hayes, Ciftci

I'd love us to sign McGinn as a long term replacement for Broony. That's the main reason I want us to move on from Kouassi.

    Regarding Rogic:

Far too slow. Bad stamina. Cannot press the ball. BR wants every player to press the ball. Great option to have against teams that are happy to sit back and defend, not so much in matches against superior opposition (for instance in Europe).

Obviously, he is brilliant with the ball at his feet. Him, Paddy and Musonda are probably our best players in that regard.

Thrives under pressure as well. That's what I love the most about him!

All in all, I'd be inclined to sell (especially since he is entering the last year of his contract). I want us to give Christie a real chance next season. Never gonna happen with both Rogic and McGregor in front of him in the pecking order.

Out of all of them I'd only really want to keep Kouassi, and ideally Gamboa as backup and sign a first choice right back
