They won't mate. Whether we should be or indeed if we were should we accept it are different questions but we won't be.

Spent a couple of years living in Liverpool in the late 90's and used to travel to Glasgow from a bus that left the Irish Centre half way up Mount Pleasant. What is that building now ?

Look at the reaction of the City fans when Rooney scores. That's why i never want to see Celtic playing in that league. Can you imagine Celtic fans celebrating and taking pictures of a Rangers player scoring? * me. :56:

Does it not annoy you, Saxon, that you have an amazing core group of fans and then millions of hangers-on (like the ones above) who'd probably struggle to point out Liverpool on a map or name the starting XI?

I thought this was an interesting article:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26704856

It basically says there's a split in the United support between those who see this season as an opportunity to show that they'd stick with United through thick and thin (the core support) and those who won't stand for anything other than success (the glory-hunters).

The Irish centre is now derelict and has been for many years.

I have always understood that sugesting Celtic should play in the BPL is a sensitive issue as you have the same history with the SPL as I do with LFC. I dont disrespect Scottish football when I say you should play your regular league games in the same league as LFC. I think you should do it out of love for Celtic. Mark my words in the near future the opportunity will arise for Celtic to join the BPL. It will be up to Celtic and its fans whether or not they join, but the offer will be that Celtic will make us all stronger it wont be us offering Celtic charity.

At the end of the day you can either take notice of people like that or ignore them. As I have said time and time again on this forum Proper football fans are fundamentally all the same we love our clubs we are proud of our roots and all we want to do is see our clubs do well. We work hard all week come the weekend we want to watch football.

We can compete in Europe while being in Scottish football.

Last time we played Liverpool we beat them.

It's just not going to happen "in the near future". The idea has been around long before the internet and has never even come close to happening. If it was ever on the table it would not be down to the "working class" fans of Celtic as to whether it happened or not no more than it would be down to the "working class" fans of Liverpool.

The next round of tv rights for the BPL will include the inclusion of Celtic in the league.

I actually think there was alot of decent football today aswell, during the Edinburgh derby. Just because there weren't 'big' names, doesn't mean its not good.

There's plenty of * games in the top leagues and yet spending £20m on a player is enough to warrant the football as better?

    A * match is a * match regardless.

Expert analysis there from moi. :56:

I cannot divulge how I know this but believe me if Neil Lennon is prepared to lead out a Celtic team in the BPL then Celtic will be playing their football in the same league as LFC when the next tv deal is active. You may hate me and call me all the lying * under the sun but mark my words.

How is it you have came to this conclusion mate? I hope you are right, but I don't see it happening that soon short of some shock occurring down south (as in big clubs collapsing).

Edit: nvm saw your other post lol

Or you didn't know what hit you..
Infact the other 2 legs before we knocked you out where you beat us on away goals,we played well again and deserved more..
You still couldn't beat us outright,so that's the last 4 competitive games..

Not bad for a team that should leave a poor league..

    When is that?
It won't happen nor do I want it to,the league is doing fine without the desperate plea you think is coming our way as the english game is having no signs just yet of crumbling...but it will..
    Would we take it,probably..
Would our fans want it,most wouldn't..
The only way an offer would come our way is if they/your game was on it's * and you needed us to give the league and the brand a much needed spark as they would never want a scottish club ripping up the english league and dare I say it,winning it..
Nor would we want a scottish club playing and representing the english game,* that..

    I much prefer staying rivals..

I haven't come to a conclusion. And there is no shock down south; the game changer that BT sport is talking about is a tv deal worth many billions that includes Celtic in the BPL.

Like I said it isnt charity, if Neil Lennon is prepared to then that means the Celtic fans want it. Not a plea not even when it boils down to it a business decision but a footballing decision from hard working football fans from south of the boarder. In not too many words who fancies a game of football?
