Player Suggestions

I doubt many are more creative than Hatate. Stamina, pace and power - okay. But I doubt Rieder can match Hatate's creativity.

 

A couple of players in Bundesliga 2. Worth a look are :

Fisnik Asllani, 22 year old 6’3 striker who is on loan from Hoffenheim but only has a year left on his current deal. He got 18 goals and 7 assists from 30 games. His most impressive trait is how comfortable he is shooting of either foot, it is hard to tell which is his natural foot. There has been talk of some reasonably big clubs like Sporting keeping an eye on him but he looks a player of big potential.

Fabian Reese, 27 year old LW/ST at Hertha Berlin, he is a unit with pace to burn and scores all sorts of goals. He had good numbers last season 9 goals and 14 assists in 31 and having missed the start of this season he has 10 goals and an assist in 17 but only 13 starts. He is the type of winger Rodgers loves, direct, quick, good at getting in at the back post but also going to the byline and pulling the ball back. A bit of a late bloomer but his versatility means me could be a good rotational option across the front 3 and help cover Jota whilst he is out.

 

For a new winger Abdoulie Manneh at shock league leaders in Sweden Mjallby is worth a look.

He is only 20 but has an athletic build already, good pace, works hard off the ball and looks to have some really good play making skills. He is a right footer he plays off the left predominantly and has 6 goals and 2 assists from 10 games so far. For only being 20 he looks to have a pretty solid all round game.

As you would expect with a 20 year old there are some rough edges but I doubt he will be at his current club long.

 

Nikola Moro ain't playing much at Bologna. Good tackler who can also pass a bit.

I wonder if he had another relegation release clause added when he signed for them..

Ffs, seeing what we're linked with and seeing what these boys suggest is night and day imo. And its not football manager nonsense as far as im concerned.

We had a golf shop manager running the scouting. Gie these boys a chance. We'd be the richest club on the planet in 5 years

 

Swear if I could I would have Shelby involved for scouting, no offence the other boys but some of his shouts have been insane when a year later they proved to be now out our price range or capacity to lure them here.

Pre-Congerton * us up I knew someone involved, and the amount of guys we tried and got told not to bother from agents etc without a hint in the press. But that time we were * excellent scouting wise. Going into January last season we had more scout managers than Scouts. Also knew Rudi Vata’s brother years ago, Rudi’s a superagent now basically. Only thing he told me was he hated WGS cos he tried to say Nigel de Jong would come and he was £2.5m and Strachan told him agents are scum. Year later he went to City for £17m

 

We will be linked, we were interested, he’s Irish, his teams been relegated… links guaranteed. But that means * all, it’s an easy link. I don’t think we will be seriously in for him, year in the Premiership relegation and * time or not, he’s a price that’s not worth it now.

Wild market down there, Nat Phillips price was £8m. He is in a battle with Du Wei as who’s better that I saw. I think Du Wei might be winning it

 

See being fair, I know our scouting set up isn’t great but I actually think we still identify some decent talent but we fail to land the deal. One of the best recent examples is Jashari at Brugge, we wanted him when he was in Switzerland and available for €5-6m. Couldn’t get a deal done whether it was player or deal between clubs but he went to Brugge a year later and is now a €30m+ player.

There has been a good few of these Onyedika who is also at Brugge was another we wanted when he was at Midtjylland before going to Brugge for about €8m now again it would take €25m+ to get him from there.

Again I don’t know where we have the breakdown but there clearly is one, are we easy to get strung along? Too slow to react? Too tight? Is it no one fancies Scotland? All of the above? No one knows really but having to get a shareholder who isn’t even majority owner to sign off on deals can’t be the best way to run a football club you wouldn’t think compared with a department working with the manager, head coach and executive at the club to have a budget would allow us to deal with some of the pace to get deals
done issues.

 

Marko Lawk Farji, 21 year old left winger/ attacking midfielder has started the new Eliteserien on fire. In 7 games, 6 starts he has 5 goals and 2 assists. He only turned 21 in March and has been called up to the Iraq senior men’s team.

He is around 6ft tall and has a decent build that looks like he will only get stronger as he gets older. He got a full season under his belt as a 20 year old last year but jumped about positions, where this year he has been playing left wing and doing very well. His main strength is his dribbling,
He has excellent close control and ability on the ball to take the ball in and get turned or run at a man.

Someone worth keeping an eye on.
