What do you think Strachan will make of the plastic pitch Moscow have? Can we request that the game gets played in a different stadium? I think its a definite advantage to Moscow seeing how they have played on it several times and know how to get the best out it. Strachan might need to rest players who have had knee injuries as well due to the surface.
Moscow as well are 18 games into their season so they'll be match fit. Its an extremely hard draw. Only saving grace is they're home first.

No, you cant request that the game gets played in a different stadium. because this pitch was accepted by UEFA for european competition matches and we already played CL 2006/07 and UEFA Cup matches there :34:

It still makes a difference. Remember when Dunfermline had a plastic pitch a couple of years ago? The ball bounce differently. It might be only be a little different but small amounts count at the top level.
Not so concerned about the injuries as it will affect them more having to play on it all season. -
"the ball bounces differently"
Nonsense i went out played with this ball for ages, when i got this new ball its bounce was different only took me about 20 minutes to adjust. These guys are proffessional. We just seem to look for reasons to make things more difficult for ourselves.the pitch was to wide in america,Denver was too hot.
I just hope this isn't turning into the " excuses before we lose thread" -
It's gona be a hard game becuase they are in the middle of their season and they are playing on a plastic pitch.
-
There are different types of plastic used to make these pitches. We'll have to wait and see how the players manage it. I'd imagine the Moscow pitch to be better than the Dunfermline one to be honest.

I'm just going by what the pros say and i presume they know more than us and also they are more finely attuned to small changes in the surface. Also, it took you 20 minutes to adjust, we could be 3-0 down after 20 minutes!
-
Surely we can do a good bit of practice on a similar pitch in Scotland before the game in Moscow.
-
Surely they will practise on it the night before and for an hour before the game. These guys are proffessionals they think that this is being used as an excuse they are sadly mistaken.
Hopefully Gordon won't mention it so it doesn't un-nerve the players. But knowing him he will give it: " it ain't ideal" -

let the match decide the best... lots of our players dislike the artifical pitch too...
-
Its not so much the bounce or anything thats botherin me, its the fact that kennedy probably wont be able to play, cause was that not the reason why he didnt go on loan to America during the summer?
