    A few years ago we’d get away with an old slow guy at the back. Defenders in that mould have been successful in the past. Not now though, different game now.

    Lenny side previous at hibs and ourselves weren't the fastest.
    They don't get exposed like the snakes defense, we don't play as expansive as his side did.
    Would he not be quicker than Maj?

    Still don't want him tho.

    He is * dog *! No legs on him whatsoever, he has been horrendous for Everton the last few seasons and most of the blue noses I know are glad he has gone.

    Probably, I still think we need somebody in this sort of mould though. A thoroughly experienced defender to help out a young defence at times. Similar to what BR done with Kolo.

    Infact, really, I was screaming for us to be talking to Victor Ruiz on a bosman but that options gone now. Experienced player, good age, who would very much improve the first team.

    He was, it’s in that mould I’d be wanting. Well, not even that, someone just a bit younger who can go a few years hence my Ruiz suggestion.

    But if we get the French boy in, and Jagielka on a low wage? I wouldn’t be displeased.
