At the end of the day if the guy can come in and do a good job for Celtic then why not sign him.

You can't hold one incident against a guy for the rest of his life.

For example, would Celtic fans be disgusted if Frank Rikaard was appointed Manager - he spat on Rudi Voller.

I never saw too many fans complaining when MON and WGS signed a few players with less than exemplary records. Roy Keane for example admitted he went out on the park to deliberately injure a fellow professional - I never saw a huge uproar when he signed.

 

I have nothing against keane. It's view is "an eye for an eye" which I sometimes agree with.

 

I have nothing against him either. In fact, I like the guy and admired him as a player - he was World Class.

I am just saying all those who are having a go a Luccin should not have double standards. Ok so Luccin did an unsporting thing, so have thousands of other players.

lenny stated on ssn at the weekend that this guy has inpressed him during the time he has been training with us and he would be playing in a closed doors game some time this week as well as maybe playing against blackburn on sunday. so it seems that him signing is a big possibility. i personaly dont give a * that he spat on hartson x amount of years ago. i think everything will be forgotton if we sign him and 2 mins into his old firm debut he puts that lee muculloch up in the * air. just have to wait and see what happens.i hope he plays on sunday give us a chance to see what he is like. he might be a good signing has plenty of experience which is what we need and if he is half the player he used to be he would be a good signing for * all.

 

Lets be fair a players previous shouldnt be brought into things, anyone seen the video of Hartson stomping Berkovic's head in training, whilst both wearing a celtic jersey?
