Used to play PES but it was always * *. The shooting is ridiculous and the teams were like 'Manchester Red' etc. Terrible.

FIFA is the same pish every year as well, Ultimate Team is the only thing worth playing it for.

After playing both the PES and FIFA demos:

    Better Gameplay - PES
    Better Graphics - PES
    Better Presentation - FIFA

No doubt that FIFA will have the best online component and commentary this year too.

I love the way PES controls, it just feels right. The animations are great too and look very fluid. Fifa seemed clunky to me and not as enjoyable. The presentation in FIFA is stellar. The menus, the player icons and all the little touches like showing replays during the match like a real broadcast... What the * is with that laggy penalty bar though? The fact that we are not in PES this year is hugely annoying but with PS4 allowing the importing of kits, that softens the blow a bit.

I'm stuck between the two if I'm honest. PES is great to play but can get boring playing alone. The online (if past versions are to go by) is trash. You can wait aggggges for a match only to get disconnected. FIFA has a brilliant online component though but I feel the community is super annoying.

(all of this is my opinion, of course)

No stadium creator, with maybe the previous edits i.e. running pitch, lighting, seating colour, but that'll be about it. Think it's 24 stadiums. They have about 50 balls, lol.

I agree with you about PES just feeling right, in PES they have player models done great, they always have even since 10+ year ago where the players actually feel and you can control them like their real life selves. In FIFA its always felt to me that every players is very similar, like whatever they do with their players attributes are just terrible, they don't make the players control or have abilities like they do in real life. In PES you can go Barcelona and play like Barcelona but with the players Man U have they can't play like Barcelona and obviously their players dont have the feel and movement of Barcelona players. In FIFA Barcelona just feel like all the other teams as do Chelsea or whoever lacks individuality in the players and the teams.

Even if you go back to a PES from 10 years ago, you'll probably find players like Pirlo, Xavi, Ronaldinho, Drogba and whoever actually feel and look really like the style and have the abilities to pull off things they would in a real game. But FIFA 15 10 years on from that they still havent got a player to feel like a real player.

Dont think FIFA feels clunky though, in real life players are clunky, I think FIFA the players all feel too smooth and sharp, its like even players like Commons move like Messi when in real life Commons is clunky as * and can barely run, in FIFA he can turn with ball glued to him and is fairly quick able to run about like Messi does in real life - the whole game plays too quick, smooth and sharp that you just know your not playing real football.

The thing about Pro Evo these last few years is that's it's pure cartoonish.

That's a joke tbh, not for me.

If one of the games out of the two are cartoonish it definitely isn't PES.

I think he means graphics but I'd disagree most of the faces on PES look much better than FIFA you can actually see sweat running down the players faces in PES and in general they have more detail, the only thing FIFA does better graphics wise are the crowds and also the stadium models aren't bad.

Cartoonish is a good word to describe PES.

FIFA is just on another level.

I've been sitting playing games of both and I'm finding it difficult to make a decision on what one to buy.

    Both have pros and cons

Few more days to go. :)

It least I'll be in a good mood on the Friday after Celtic have been pumped silly in Amsterdam. Be that bad they'll erect a Celtic shop in the Red Light District.
