Totally agree we should push the boat out on this guy.Whether he would want to come to Scotland is the question.Just think the huns have bought LAUGHerty for almost £4 million and he couldnt hit a cows backside with a banjo!!

Im just worried its a smoke screen david murray style to get some of the back page after losing out on lafferty, we will not sign any of those 2 players.

ANDREI KANCHELSKIS is convinced Celtic target Roman Pavlyuchenko would climb to the top of the SPL scoring charts - as soon as he finds his feet in Scotland.
The former Rangers winger believes the Russian hitman would take a season to come to terms with new surroundings - just as Kanchelskis did when he first came to Britain in 1991 after his move from from Shakhtar Donetsk to Manchester United.
Pavlyuchenko's club Spartak Moscow may have have slapped a "not-for-sale" sign on the 26-year-old hotshot but Gordon Strachan has placed him on his summer shortlist.
And Kanchelskis reckons Celtic should do everything they can to lure the prolific player to Parkhead.

It would be an awesome move but I get a tingling in my head when I think about all the Russian flops that have come to Britain.

I hear that he might snub Barca and Real Madrid as he wants first team football (which he won't get there) and he would like to play for Celtic as we're straight into the CL. :50:

    Pavlyuchenko Will Cost Us ?

According to el daily hun, Roman The Russian (cant be arsed spelling his name again :56:) will cost us 6 million which I think is actually below or what, we should be spending on maybe one or two players every summer. What you's think ?

If we can get him for 6million i think that'll be a bargain, i just hope no teams like barcelona try and get him, then we could spend another 6million on other areas, see how we get on and if we need someone in the january window go for someone.

When I first heard we were chasing this guy, I thought it would be much more actually so I thought no chance. Then I heard £8 million and I thought, unlikely but maybe something can happen.

When I heard £6million, I was like - aye, this can happen.

Message to the board - make it so. :50:

The price is supposed to be 6m plus 4m in add-ons, thats apparently what we are prepared to pay.

£6 million is fine and i'm sure Lawell wuold agree with that, if he scores 3 or 4 in the Champions League and has a decent domestic season you could sell him for double that.

Bent on Loan is a good one because it is low risk for someone who has proved themselve to be a top goalscorer(not including last season). I mean tbh he never got a chance with spurs and looked half decent when he did get a game.

and £6mill for the ruski is a great deal, it's time for celtic to show their ambition and make the step up to these transfers, it would also show our superiority over Rangers so much.

they're signing championship players and spl rejects while we are signing euro 2008 stars.
