1. Now that Mark Wilson is approaching full fitness I would just like to say thanks to Paul Telfer. I thought he was the Man Of The Match tonight and he has not let us down in any of the games he has played. Well done Paul. It's nice to know we can rely on you anytime against any opposition.
    Cheers mate.

  2. Well said mate:50:

    He played a blinder tonite.

  3. telfer has been class since coming in for wilson. and well sayed johnbhoy

  4. Telfer played well tonight, my hats off to the man! :50:

  5. totally agree......he deserves the plaudits......* i just can tstop smiling

  6. Totally agree with all the comments above Paul Telfer was excellent all night. Top class perfromance.

  7. Played alright, but we can get a better full back

  8. We already have Wilson, dont you think it would be wise to get Balde to *, and get another central defender, and YES another backup for Boruc, a good goalie but not as good as a lot of Tic fans think he is? What oh of course he saved a penalty, which is great!

  9. Great from Telfer, did well to hold up those *.

  10. There is always better players in the game hubert but ya cant sign your ideal players at the drop of a hat.

Wilson is first choice, no doubt, Telfer is alright but we can get another Wilson before the start of next season easily and another Naylor.

If Naylor got injured when Wilson was out, where would we be??

  11. I dont disagree with your thinking my point is there are greater priorities needing to be addressed.
We had Caldwell injured who did we bring in an absolute * disaster, a * embarrassment top what I consider the calibre of the great Celtic club should be, I know we cant afford the biggies, but goodness gracious playing liabilities is not a * option.
I and others for long enough suffered a * poor goalie Douglas, how long does it take some people to realize there are passengers in fitba getting money for nothing, and Celtic have them.
Zurawski eg, I am not against this guy, but surely to * he should be showing a bit more guile and consistancy by now?

We all suffered watching Douglas. Balde was needed last season, we didnt have the required depth, this season he's having trouble with Caldwell for place. In time he'll be replaced and for the money he's on, it should happen sooner than later. We cannot afford €60,000 p/w back up players.

In time hubert, it will happen when it happens, dont think for a second that strachan doesnt think what we are thinking, he's a smart man and wont diss a player in public.

  12. i have to say when i first heard wilson was going to be out i thought oh no!! but you gotta hand it to telfer he has been a rock

  13. Telfer was solid throughout and even had a wry smile when fans gave him a cheer! I think we need to look more at Big Bobo!

  14. You started this thread just to entice me in here didn't you John? Me off work with flu aswell! :54: :84:

I thought Telfer played an excellent game, had Rooney in his back pocket at times....Which was very funny to see....He was solid from start to finish and thats all you can ask from the guy....Naylor was my MOTM though and as for Bobo?......Well thats for another thread!

    Hail Hail!

  15. yeah fair play to the man hasnt put a foot wrong for weeks, you have to admire the guy for his fitness levels.

naka said he loves playing with him because of the amount of running he does, he is usually there when naka gets into bother.

  16. Never though i'd see a Telfu appreciation thread but hats off to him.
    Was fantastic last night
