They've signed alot of players from the league's above. Ryan Conroy, very experienced being one. If you look at the standard of the league and say it's * then it stands to reason they'll probably be near the top of it.

The longer term success of it will all depend whether they can translate their support for the podcast to numbers at the games. Even a couple of hundred is a lot for that level. Friday night games might just be enough for people to get along. If you consider the podcast sold out 12k Hydro it's not beyond the realms of possibility.

I used to watch the podcast a lot, now dip in & out but it has very decent viewing figures.

I can't see the negatives tbh, it's bringing more exposure to that level which can only be a good thing, they will be running a fly on the wall documentary alongside it as well as weekly podcast about the league and team. I'm glad someone in Scottish football is actually showing some initiative, there's far too many wee teams stuck in their ways and just plodding along.

Edit: And on the Slane Documentary. It was released 2 days ago and already has 90 thousand views. That's unreal. If it's a publicity stunt then it's a smart one. It'll prob eventually top 150k views easily. There is clearly a demand there. If even 0.1% of that translates in to a £99 season ticket or regular clicks through the turnstiles then it'll generate some serious money for a team at that level and help them kick on. Good on them.

Good for him and good for open goal.

I went off their podcast it got a bit repetitive for me but good on them for trying something different.

We love to put people down in this country and any time someone tries something a bit different it’s “embarrassing”.

Scottish football could do with a bit of innovation at all levels of the game. I know it’s just the lowland league but at least they are trying something different.

Ill be interested to see where this experiment goes
