Did Ronny not say he'd only get a loan deal in if it has a option to buy at the end of the loan? If so then I don't think Ronny is really wanting him in for a loan to * of again.

People need to stop relating this to the Elyounousi signing. He maybe doesn't want to come - maybe not now, or maybe Molde aint letting him go at the moment.

This may just be a stop gap. However its pointless. We could just use our own - we're out of Europe and the league is a given. We have more than enough for a treble.

    Waste o' money.

I'm not against loans of anything but with the brilliant youth players we've got in this guys position I would think it makes so much more sense to give Nesbitt, et al the game time Roberts would get.
If it is a loan in a position we really need cover for then by all means I just think we have our own players who can do that, really talented youngsters as well.

2 year loan or the option to but should be the only way we take him and if he turns out to be * we can send him back.

    Spot on. :50:

2 year loan would be great for the player too. Gives him a chance to focus on improving himself without constantly moving about.

Champions League experience and we get a good shift out of him. If it's 6 months it better be with an option to extend.

Well ye better get ready to cancel it mate should be done tomorrow at latest 4 month loan deal in the first instance but he must return to man city for first day of pre season in mid July, then a decision will be taken to send him back or keep him their either way I am sure he would miss the start of the CL qualifiers as I am sure they are mid July.

    Pointless IMO

Could help Tierney and Janko in training, they would develop up against his undoubted quality..

Could leave Lustig's hammys in bits tho..:smiley-laughing002:

I can't believe any Celtic fan would wan't to progress another teams youngsters without the option to buy. We have all been shouting for our youth to get a chance & he would be infront of them. The Denayer pish should show us how * the loan without an option to buy is, he left & we had nobody to cover that position.

A loan deal until the end of the season for an untested, unproven talent, forget the price tag, is absolutely ludicrous.

We should not be signing anyone that isn't going to aid us in champions league qualifying imo, it's a waste of wages also as I don't think it's a signing that makes us more likely to win the league.

We should be pro active in identifying and brining in targets who can help us reach the champions league, we already have comfortably enough in our locker for domestic affairs.

The only way this would make any sense is if it was a year or 18 month loan deal.

If he comes here for 4 months then he better spend it in our development squad because he is absolutely no * use to us.

Dreadful idea. Completely contradicts a lot of Deila's comments.

Do not see the value in this at all if reports correct. He is coming for 4 months with the guarantee of first team football! It hold back our own players & kids coming through. If it was 18 months I could understand it to a certain degree. But if he comes & is superb & helps us win a treble, we will be weakened for the champions league qualifiers when he goes back to City. The treble is in our grasp without him & I feel the current squad could deliver that anyway. Hope that we would be able to get him with an option to buy are not realistic baring in mind City paid 12million for him in the summer, so unless we were offering that as an option to buy that was never going to happen. This is very, very strange. Sooner give GMS, Forrest & Armstrong good runs to re capture their form & ease Nesbit in to the first team picture.

Which suggests to me that this will have the option of a long term loan or permanent signing (doubtful). Also gives the option of sending him back if he wont stand a chance of playing in the qualifiers

Deila wants the team that plays in the qualifiers playing together just now so if he takes on roberts and plays him then he must know more than whats being said in the 'papers'

If he comes here and plays regularly at the expense of others and we lose him for the qualifying campaign, then there is going to be a * of a lot of people up in arms and it will also have been to a detriment of the development of our own players.

I haven't spoken to a single person who is happy at this deal, with regards to just a 6 month deal.

It makes * all sense, and make you wonder what the * is going on.
