Two good goals today. His first was a thing of beauty. He will need to mix his game up a bit though if he is to become a really top player, needs to learn to release it quicker if he is running into a wall of bodies.

That will come, and i agree. If he just makes the quick pass now and again instead of trying to beat yhe man/men then not only will it improve him but it'll make the defenders think that bit more..

He's a stick on for poty next year, hopefully. Can be scarily good for us next year if he iron's some flaws..

The first goal was obviously his best but I don't know what it was about the way he finished the second. It seemed like a finish only a top class player would be capable of. He just hit it so casually but still curled it right into the bottom corner with power. I genuinely don't even think Griffiths could've finished it like that.

 

Must not get injured

 

If he goes injury free next season I expect to get 20-25 goals off him and hopefully about a dozen assists.

 

Would like to see the new manager mix it up by getting him to switch wings occasionally during a game.
Also, someone please convince me it's cast iron that Guardiola can't recall him in the summer.

I agree but it's also what annoys me about Allan and Christie not getting games after that excellent display the 3 subs made and then there was a lot of quick interpassing. He needs players who can read his passes and movement and vice versa. There was a great moment today when McGregor had the ball and Roberts just signalled for him to pass it into a tight space between defenders and McGregor placed it nicely. Nothing came of it but it was a lovely little bit of team play that if more players were doing it we could play some nice football.

 

Think when you play the system Ronny uses a good goal scoring wide man is an absolute must. Takes a huge amount of pressure off of the lone striker

It's something we haven't had as much this season and Roberts is really showing how useful it can be. .

 

Fantastic player. Must be available for our CL Qualifiers, it's great he takes players on not many in our squad has the balls to do it.
